LG VX-8100

When i use a wired headset i can't increase the volume....its barely audible. anyone know how to fix this?

by december...will there be updates to fix all the volume issues and other stuff wrong withthe phone?

Sitting right next to each other on the table. Cannot call 8100 from house phone, goes right to VM. V120 rings loud and clear.

Is it possible to get Games without buying them through Verizon (possibly placing them on the memory cards?) If so -- where do you get them?

After 5 bad E815's I got an 8100 which is built SO MUCH better than the 815, but what good is it if I can't make or receive a call.
Missed 3 calls today, dropped 7 calls. Has latest software if that matters any.

The previous now.wap setup for some reason no longer works. So after 3 days in my mad lab I came up with this workaround.

First you'll need the following:

A cpu w/ two NICs
now.wap proxy program of course
Anytype of proxy software

I am assuming that you are behind a router throughout this process.

**All IP addresses mentioned are for instructional purposes only**

PROXY SETTINGS

First, lets setup a proxy (I used Ghostsurf 2005 Platinum Ed. for this) setup your web browser(s) to route through the proxy at the following address 127.0.0.1:7212, I am using port 7212 but its your choice.

NIC # 1's IP address is 192.168.0.100

NIC # 2's IP address is 192.168.0.103.
Place NIC # 2 in a DMZ and then forward

why is it that I'm able to get free broadband service but if VZ sees me using it, then they disconnect my service??? this is BS... am not saying give to me 4 free but dang it dont make me get a wireless card (when I can use my 8100 (BEST PHONE EVER) to access the same service) and then turn around n sell me the service for 59.99 a month!!!!! come on people!!!! I can already get that shisnet 4 free Y pay 59.99 for the service???? is there a way to put mp3s on the phone and play them from front buttons if you don't have sd card. i have new update.

I have only seen two choices. The Jabra C120 and the Jabra C220. I have tried the c120. Did anyone tried the c220's. PLease help.

The little icon over the word "Active" moves. It starts out as just the little stick, then the dots, then the circle, then the other dots.My friend took the picture the other night with his 8000. How is this possible? I haven't plugged my phone in since and I use it a fair amount. The battery is still full so it seems to be doing something...

Anyone else have this show up on their phone? Am I being billed airtime for this? #MIN doesn't show anything crazy but ...

I just dropped (gasp 😲 😲 ) my 8100 in the parking lot. Thankfully, it landed on the back, which is covered by the case. It bounced a bit when it hit the ground. No scratches, no dents, no malfunctions at all!

If I get my phone replace through the insurance, I know I pay like 50 bucks or sumthin like that, but will they let me trade in my VX8000 for a 8100?

sorry if this has already been addressed in the forum before, i looked but i didnt see it.

Has anyone else noticed that there phone wont go into EVDO mode after the update? because my phone used to be in EVDO mode almost all the time in high service areas, but now i've noticed that it never does anymore. I've even held my phone next to another vx8100 before it had the update and it had EVDO service and my phone still didn't... does anyone know if it has been disabled in the update, and if so, then why?

I think they should erase the reviews and let us start over with reviews rating it after the update. I love this phone!!!! I think the 3.whatever score it has on the reviews is bugos, especially after the update! Does anyone else think this phone is probably the nicest phone they have ever used! I get new phones every few months and this is my favorite of all time, my next one will be the 9800.

Can I sync my Outlook contacts with my 8100? If so, is it a big deal or easy? Thanks.
