Flip Cases - Which offers the most protection??

Just wondering if you all have found any good PROTECTIVE flip cases? Some days my job reqires me to spend a few hours out in the shop area. It gets awfully messy and gunky out there. I'd rather not do a pouch since I end up with a lot of grime on my hands.

I saw a flip case at Verizon, but I was shocked that it didn't have any clear covering for the front LCD. I'll use PDA screen protectors, but I was hoping for a case with protections as well.

Ok, where's the best deal on 1gb mini sd...besides Ebay?

I bought a 512mb card on ebay - Dana-Elec brand, and I still sometimes get an error message when I go to transfer files. So then I have to format on phone, format to pc, and then format to phone again and it'll work...so weird. Anyways, I'm now leery of getting another card on Ebay. Where else are the good deals? And is sandisk the only reputable brand?

International Calls and Texts

For most international calls and texts you must include the + sign between numbers such as 002+12+4567123456

does anyone know how to insert that + sign? The only options I have seen are inserting a pause (P) or a wait (W)

Thanks in advance for the help

mp3 player stereo headset

I have only seen two choices. The Jabra C120 and the Jabra C220. Anybody know of more that would work or recommend one of the mentioned sets? I have tried the c120 the right cord is shorter than the left one. Which is not comfortable. What about c220's does it have the same problem with the cords. PLease help.

Thanks

How do you reject a call?

On my old 4400, if you didn't want to answer a call all you had to do was to hit the "record" button on the side of the phone just under the volume buttons. Then the call would go straight to voicemail. Is there anyway to do this on the 8100? I know you can ignore the call when the phone is open, but what about when it is closed?

Just got my phone updated...how can you tell?

They did not give me any kind of paperwork....but what differences did you all notice after you got your software upgrade(volume, disconnects, etc)?

Oh for crying out loud...

You all know that little grey rubber piece that fits into the slot where the charger or USB cable goes into the phone? Well, I've lost it again.

Back when I had the LG6000 I lost it with that phone. My wife has the LG7000 and she lost hers.

Upon getting this phone (the 8100) I was determined I would not lose that little piece, but guess what? Yep, it's gone.

Actually, I think the Verizon store kept it by mistake when I took it in to get the update. Anyways, I've lost another one.

Does anyone know if it's possible to get another one of those little grey rubber pieces anywhere? I suppose I could go back to Verizon and tell them they kept mine, but I'd like to get one for my wife's phone too, anyone know?

Thanks in advance.

Has anyone tried an FM transmitter / Modulator?

Just wondering if ayone has had any success plugging in an FM transmitter/modulator, or know any concrete reasons why it would or would not work.
I miss having an MP3 cd player in my car, but my new car has a navigation system Im not willing to part with, and I doubt I'll be keeping the car long enough to make it worthwhile investing in an MP3 cd changer, so being able to stick a modulator in my phones headset jack seems like a simple solution if it would work.
THANKS 🙂

You can use mp3's from your Sd card as ring tones

IF... you have bitpim and a data cable

well since nobody seemed to say anything when I posted this a few days ago I decided to say it again

go here

http://www.howardforums.com/showthread.php?p=5592083 »

it will allow you to use up to 155 mp3's from your sd card as ringtones or alarms.. etc etc

How do you enable the voice memo feature? Or is it just limited to recording parts of conservations?

Anyway other than a hack to get your own MP3 ringtones on phone?

I'm not into the whole hack thing, don't want to screw up my phone, and I'm sure the answer to my question then is no, but just curious.....Is there anyway to put your own MP3 ringtones on this thing without a cable and a hack? I know this whole ringtone, bitpim, etc. etc. etc. topic has been talked into the ground, but just wondered if anyone came up with or knew of anything regarding this matter (without hack, that is) that hasn't been brought up yet.
