Headsets for MP3 player

Can anyone recommend a good headset to use for the MP3 player?? I imagine that the bluetooth headsets like the Cardo Scala 500 are not that great if they are only for one ear but then again I have never used BT yet so I have no clue. Thanks.

menu 0 (000000)
9. get it now settings

Great deal on miniSD and multicard reader

Here is a link to a great deal on a 512MB miniSD for $41.99. You get the card reader and shipping for free. You can upgrade shipping if you want. I did 2nd day air and it was only a little more than nine dollars. This is the best deal that I could find anywhere. Most 512MB cards I've seen have easily been over $50. Placed my order on Wednesday got my package Friday, went and got the upgrade and loving it. Here is the link for those who are interested.

Still having trouble sending videos to my phone...

Ok... I've got the video in .3gp format. I'm using BitPim and a USB cable. I open up the 14532 (or whatever) directory, then mf. I right-click and say "New File" then select my video.

When I do this, it says BitPim is writing the video to the card, but it's taking a rediculously long time. We're talking many hours for a small video, so I think there's something I'm not doing right.

Anyone have an suggestions? 😕

Question about Verizon Games

I still am having way too much fun with my 8100 🙂 Now I am thinking about purchasing a game (either Pac-Man or Tetris) from the Get It Now. Obviously, I never have done this before--hence my question! If I purchase (as opposed to the monthly subscription), when I play the game, does it count in my monthly minutes?
As always, thanks for the valuable information, PhoneScoop Members.

MP3 Player Tips

I got my mini-SD card today and was FINALLY able to use the mp3 player. I love my phone now even more than before. Thanks to all the tips I read on this forum everything went smoothly from formatting to putting the files on the card. I appreciate all the good advice that I've found here. Now I add my two cents worth. This may have been mentioned before, but I'll submit it anyway. By pressing the audio button on the left side of the phone while the file is playing you can change the equalizer settings. Just a little shortcut that I found in the short time that I've been playing around. If anyone else has any tips/tricks then I would love to hear them. Keep the excellent information coming!

Can the LGVX-8100 play .mid?

☚ī¸ I bought the LGVX-8100 today, expecting to be able to use some .mid files my friend has sent to me on my phone. However, all the .mid files are saved into the "My Sounds" section and the phone won't let me use the "sounds" as ringtones. Is there a way to get those .mid files to work as ringtones? I've been so frustrated for most of the day because of this....I really do not want to resort to buying ringtones again.

Thanks in advance.

Instant Messaging and TXT Messaging Usage...

In my playing around with my phone last night I went into the MSN Messenger portion. All I did was look at what it was, etc. At no point did I sent an instant message to a contact or do anything other than look. Now today, looking at my account summary I noticed I had 18 TXT messages sent and 32 received. 😲 One or two of these are legitimate messages. The others I'm assuming come from my playing around since I believe that the IM service works by TXT messaging. So my question for all the good people of PhoneScoop is this: By just playing around, will it cost me for all these text messages. If so then then that is totally bunk! I repeat I did NOT send any IM's. If so then this is an expensive lesson for just playing around. Can anyone who h...

xilisoft vs imtoo... which is better?

First of all, screenshots of the software look identical, just different colors. Aside from that oddity, my VS question is

Which is better for massive compression, fitting the most content possible on a single card?

Which is capable of the highest quality?

Chances are they both use the same codec and yield exactly the same output, but if anyone has insight as to a clear winner it would be appreciated.

VoiceMail Question

How do you make it so that when someone reaches your voicemail it doesn't say "If you'd like to leave a message please press 1 or wait for the tone..."

I'd like it to just play my recorded message, and beep right away so the caller can immediately leave theirs.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Data Cable

I bought a data cable from a link from the Shop tab at the top of this page. When it arrived, there was a sticker across the front of the package directing me to an internet download for the driver.

I downloaded the driver but it was corrupted. I deleted it and downloaded again several times with the same result. I also was not able to find a contact us link on the site.

Does anyone know of a place I can get a driver for this cable. I am so anxious to start using it so I can add ringtones.

Thanks in advance

MP3: Why can't you listen to MP3s with Bluetooth earpiece????

I got a flamingo BT thinking i could use it to listen to MP3 as well as talking, but when i go to play the song, the phone automatically cuts off the BT signal and plays the music through the speakers instead. Why is this? How can you get the phone to play MP3 through the headset? Are there any decent stereo bluetooth headsets?

By the way, the flamingo BT works fine as a BT headset...

Help with CDex Please or Recommend Idiot Proof Ripper?

I finally got my miniSD and card reader hooked up. I'm trying to convert some CD's into mp3's to put on my card.

I downloaded CDex -- anybody familiar with that? Anyway, I'm pretty impatient and not too file format literate, so am looking for some help.

I understand the concept of dragging files into the my_mp3 folder via Windows Explorer. I need help in configuring and using CDex.

1. What settings do I use to identify where my songs will be stored so that I can easily drag them to the SD card?

2. I'm having trouble figuring how to activate the CDDB access so that it automatically identifies the songs

Anyone here patient enough to pose some step-by-step instructions? Or, anyone steer me towards an idiot proof mp3 conver...

mp3

Hello,

I have 2 questions can someone please help.

1) I just bought vx8100 thinking about switching to motorola e815. Which one is better in your opinion.

2)I just transferred mp3 to my sd card, and the phone does not recognizes it. I do have new software version. The characters are less than 47. The only thing is the size of my mp3 is 80 mb. It's live electronic dj mix. Is there are any explanation for it. In addition some individual songs that are normal size 4mb do not play even though the name shows on the screen. Or the individual songs show up on the card when i read it but does not show up on the phone. I am pretty sure i am doing everything right. Any suggestion? Did anyone ever encountred anything like this.

Thanks.
