BITPIM/CONNECTING W/ PC USING BLUETOOTH

Ok, so I have never tried Bitpim before, don't have a cable, but have read on Hofo and here that you can connect via bluetooth. Have tried playing around with this a little. I know computers, but by no means am an expert. According to Hofo:

http://www.howardforums.com/showthread.php?t=686076 »

You can go to My bluetooth places on your PC through Internet explorer. What do I search under, how do I find this? Basically, how do I connect my phone to pc this way? Am I missing something? I've tried, but can't figure it out. I thought I may join the club and actually try Bitpim, but so far can't even figure this part out.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Please help

I'm thinking about getting this phone for my wife... and getting the Samsung 970 for myself. In the meantime, I'll get to use the 8100 until I get the 970. Questions... now that the MP3 player is accessible, what differs this from the E815? What makes this better? Also, I've read about the BitPim 0.7.35, but I'm not sure what the purpose of this is. Is this a way to get around Verizon's crippling of BT? Please explain the purpose of using it. Thanks in advance.

What order does the MY SOUNDS folder sort?

It doesn't seem to sort in alphabetical order. The folder has a mind of it's own. Anyone know how sounds are arranged and how to manage it? I mean, sounds are there, just wondering if someone has figured out the logic of how it arranges. Thanks.

stereo headsets...again...

I've read the various threads on the headsets, and I'm ready to go purchase one. I've been looking at the Jabra ones that Mary mentioned. I just have an idiotic question, seeing as I haven't seen these in person. First, do they have an ear phone for both ears? (I'm talking about the Jabra ones that Mary mentioned). Also, is there an answer/end button on those? and lastly, I've seen two models on buy.com and one goes in the ear and the other around the ear. I just wondered how the fits were. I typically don't like the ones that go in the ear because I have a small ear and they always feel too big and uncomfortable. But I want to use this for when I'm exercising, walking or whatnot, and I'm not sure the ones that go behind the ear would ...

I got the 8000...

I've posted before that I've had trouble with 2 8100's.

Instead of going for an 815 or trying yet another 8100, I decided to go with the LG8000 since I don't care about BT.

All I can say is this phone has a WOW screen.. it's beautiful!! Inside and out!!

Sound is very good.. not perfect, but better than 8100.

And the build quality is as good or better than the 8100.

The camera is way better than the ones on the 8100's that I had.

Obviously, the down side is the large size. But I think I can live with it.. and as compensation for carrying around this big phone, I get a large, absolutely beautiful screen! I love it! It's awesome!

Unless there are some new developments with the 8100 or the 970 in the next 15 days, the 80...

Video Message????????????????

Anyone get a message like this in their Inbox:

???????????????????????

And then when you open it, it says something like "Video Failed to Play" or something? This has happened to me a couple times and even showed up in my SENT box and I know I didn't send any video messages. Then, when I turn the phone off and back on, it's gone! 😳

Cardo Scala-why does everyone seem to think this is so great? Tried it and it SUCKS!!!!!

I first tried the Motorola HS820 then HS850, and although I thought the HS850 was better than the HS820, they both were a horrible fit! So I then tried the Jabra BT250V and I really like it, fits very well, tight in the ear, sound is pretty good most of the time. I was overall happy with it, but kept reading posts on here about the Cardo Scala 500 and how great it was, so I had to give it a try. Anyway.....bought it, recieved it yesterday, fully charged it, paired it just as easily as the rest. Wasn't sure about the cheap feel of it, but thought, oh well, if it works so great I can get over that. Now it was time to actually use it. First of all it was not just extremely staticy, but it would also cut completely out! I had my phone on ...

Headphones for Mp3 listening?

Just got the 8100, great phone, Mp3 player is awesome (have a 1 gig Sandisk card, works perfectly), and now I have a question. I want to get headphones for the phone, and I wanted to know if anyone had any suggestions? Had the Motorola ones, and they did not work at all (maybe I had a bad pair, muddy sound, or loss of vocals etc.). Can anyone offer any suggestions? Also, any advice on the media center-how to control etc (for example, can you shuffle the songs multiple times, rearrange them, view by artist etc. like iTunes) would be appreciated! 😁

Anybody else having a problem with phone calls after viewing flix??

So I've noticed a pattern. The last 3 times after I've viewed my flix, I either make or receive calls and the person on the other end cannot hear me. So the first time it happened I hung up and called back and the same problem. So I rebooted phone (just turned off and on) and it was fine. But this has only happened after viewing flix. And it's only been after I viewed the family guy flix that I downloaded from a torrent that someone posted on a thread, to my mini sd. Has anyone else had this problem? I am going to try and take some flix with the camera and see if it has the same problem. If not, then maybe the problem is only with the family guy flix.

If you havent noticed, there is a (optional) Silicone cap you can get that goes over the earpiece, this makes it so the scala will actually go inside your ear. This silicone addition is FREE, just goto the above website and fill it out, they will mail you one.

Bluetooth Headset review

Okay I have been reading this forum for months. Got my 8100 on 8/30 got the update right away. It took them 1.5 hrs and drained my battery in the process.
Now for the Headsets I have tried and tested.
Based on what I read here I ordered the Cardo 500 (got it at Amazon $39) while awaiting for it I got a deal at Verizon and spoke to the rep there that was using the HS850 with a 8100. He said ti was great so I got one to try.($99) Then Mary suggested the Moto H500 and I saw complainets that Cardo was losing connection after update. So I ordered the H500 (Ebay malcom Wireless $43).
SO I was able to do side by side test of all three last night at home and today in the car.
Here is my results and opinion. Thank it for what it is worth.
I as...

jabra 250

I use the jabra 250 and its an awesome headset that fits comfortably behind the ear and is much less bulky than any moto headset that most people who want to show off fancy bulky
blinking lights on thier head. but if you want
something small that works well and isnt that visable i suggest the jaba 250 and plantronics
makes a behind the ear headset that has the answer button is on the mic boom which is cool
you dont have to reach behind your ear to answer calls! now the moto's headsets sit on the outside of the ear bieng very floppy and not as secure and more easily knocked off.
now it boggles my mind as to why anybody would think that something like that is less bulky than something that sits behind the ear????
to each thier own i gue...

H500 BT Headset

Mary, you have the headset, as posted. All other Moto headsets have a 2 or 3 second delay, after connecting, and before you can actually talk. I guess this is the actual transfer between the headset and the phone. Does the H500 also have this? Seems only with Moto headsets. Do you, or anyone know if the H700 also has this delay?
