Can the LGVX-8100 play .mid?
☹️ I bought the LGVX-8100 today, expecting to be able to use some .mid files my friend has sent to me on my phone. However, all the .mid files are saved into the "My Sounds" section and the phone won't let me use the "sounds" as ringtones. Is there a way to get those .mid files to work as ringtones? I've been so frustrated for most of the day because of this....I really do not want to resort to buying ringtones again.

You cannot set any sounds from the phone in any format to ringtones with just the phone. I don't use a data cable for hacks or anything, but search this forum for "bitpim". There is a way to put ringtones on the phone, but not without a cable and program.

I just want clarify something. Mary424 always says that using a cable is a hack. That simply is not true. There are legitimate programs out there that use a cable and are used for creating/editing and transferring ringtones.
