To use the phone as a mp3 player do you have to get it flashed?? Do you also have to get a card? if so what kind and size? Thank you in advance.

Yes, you have to get your phone updated with the newest version of software. Also, you will have to purchase a memory card. It's a miniSD card. As far as what brand of miniSD, well, that's up to you.

I'd like to get a card w/ more memory, but it's just not necessary for me right now. I don't use earphones in the phone, I just listen through the phone's speakers. I've recorded my MP3's @ the speed of 64 (FM radio quality). It sounds ok to me. The card has 114 songs on it @ that rate (64) and it may hold a few more.
