messages waiting for me
is there some way to keep my 8100 from "sleeping" when it is inactive for a while? it looks like it just shuts down.
i don't like having to flip my phone open every time i want to see if i have a message.

If you tap the side volume keys or even the front MP3 player keys, it will turn the screen back on without opening it.

I think you can set an audible alert to go off every few minutes for message alerts. Can't cha Mary?
As minor as it is to some, this is my biggest (if you can call it that) gripe with the 8100. With my old Audiovox 9500 I could set and LED and/or a tone to go off to alert me when I missed calls, or got messages while I was away from the phone. The alerts continued until I checked the phone.
