Why are my MP3's limited???

After formatting a mini SD, I tried to load up about 10 songs (all in MP3 format) to the "My MP3" folder created by the phone. When I went to play them, only one had been found. I checked the card, PC and folder over and over, but for some reason, not every tune is recognized. Weird thing is that it doesn't seem to be consistent... (one tune @192 kbps and 44 kHz is playable, the next one isn't...) Any one with an idea? Huryy... I'm prepared to throw this thing at the Verizon rep...

You need to make sure the titles are less than 47 characters including the .MP3 or they won't show up.

for some reason sometimes you have to get some software that can convert files to mp3, and then convert them to mp3 even though they already are.

The reason is that some mp3's are encoded with DRM (Digital Rights Management) and the 8100 seems to have problems with DRM mp3's. So, Steve99 is right... simply re-encode the mp3's with something free like "musicmatch jukebox".

and please don't throw the phone at the verizon rep, sometimes our reflexes are a little slow from the fatigue of getting yelled at all the time so he might not duck in time and loose an eye.
