got the mp3 player to work

but the out side buttons wont find any songs
unless i go to get it now/my mp3s on the in side keys first. i cant close the flip and start up mp3s? why?

Did you also do the step where you go to Settings & Tools, tools, shortcut key, play key, and choose MP3? Do that and your front buttons should work.
