Motorola RAZR V3c

As excited as I was to get this phone - Im still fairly happy with it. Many complain about the UI (which I agree - it definitely sucks) but I can live with that... what I really cant stand is the home screen with the unnecessary unchangeable red/gray bars that take up half of the f*king screen...

The RAZR is so popular because of its "looks" ... when you open this piece of eye candy and your keypad has a blue backlight with stupid a$$ red bars - its a dissappointment.

Although it seems obsolete - this is my biggest complaint. Here we have this big beautiful screen and it ends up being cluttered by all the Verizon sh*t. my v710s screen was smaller but looks nicer with just a wallpaper than this will ever look.

Hello all,
I have my phone set up so that you have to enter a pin # to use any feature after you power on the phone. It works fine if there is not a voice mail, however if there is a voice mail the phone unlocks by itself right after it tells you that there is a voice mail available. Am I doing something wrong or is there an issue with my phone/software?

when i try and set up the phone it won't do the auto set-up, i ran the driver tools and ms setup for the modem but it still won't work, also when i do manual under cdma there is no option to pick razr or v3c do i use something else?
any help is appreciated

I signed up for the free month of VCast but can't find anything on it that makes it worth $15 a month and airtime.

I was thinking of cancelling it but I was wondering has anyone found anything useful on it?

I followed Jay's instructions and installed phone tools and the Driver tool. After I upgraded the MPT to version 3.28, I connected the Razr and it found my phone with no problems. I was able to backup and snyc my contacts no problem.

However, the multimedia option in the menu is grayed out and not able to be selected. Does anyone know how to make this option work.

Live update says that my MPT is totally up to date.

For anyone with the Razr using bluetooth ... any occurrances of bluetooth echo for the call recpient, like there is frequently with the E815?

I don't want to have verizons ugly menus on my phone, if i bought a razr is it possible to somehow install the motorola UI on it? Thanks 😁

Sounds like this phone is like the 710 was to the 815. A first generation with a lot of bugs. I bet the next version will be much better....it pays to wait!

Haven't used this phone yet, but I understand it has overly-sensitive side keys (easy to accidentally push in a pocket), like the E815. Does the Razr have an option to lock the keys (EASILY) like on the E815, i.e., by pushing MENU and * ??

How is the battery live ? Can you buy an extended battery ? thanks.

i have been informed today the the the software updat for the v3c will contain the ring and vibe feature , as well as the mp3 player capability . the update is expected in january , but if you cant wait , there are always seem edits to enable the feature , because its in the phone . but wile programing the vzw user interface which we all hate the feature was locked and taken out of the menu . but the update will resolve the issue

I called VZW, she called Mot and said there is no update for VZW that will allow vibrate then ring, is this true?
