SPRINT FAMILY LOCATOR SAVES THE DAY

I just received a call from a customer that was in tears wanting to thank SPRINT for offering the FAMILY LOCATOR SERVICE.

Last night her home was burglarized. Her computer, all of her televisions, her sons PS3 and Wii and jewelry were taken. The thieves also stole her sons SPRINT phone.

During the interview with police she remembered that she had SPRINT FAMILY LOCATOR and gave the login information to the police. They called her this morning. The police used the SFL to locate the thieves arresting 3 men and recovering all of her belongings.

GO GO SPRINT FAMILY LOCATOR.

Just some info

People were asking about the premiere program in another forum (someone said it should be in sprint forum), just wanted to clarify.

You have three ways of becoming a premiere customer, and you have to meet one of these stipulations.

1. Single line of 69.99 MRC 3 month average and been with sprint for 6months

2. Family plan of 99.99 MRC 3 month average and been with sprint for 6months

3. Been a sprint customer for 10 consecutive years.

MRC means monthly reoccurring charge, not add ons.

Benefits. Main line gets a 2 year upgrade every 12 months instead of 22 months.
Bonus mins yearly and free downloadable content.

Almost time..

Well, we're circling in, folks. Hot on the heels of learning that Sprint employees have the Palm Pre in hand for training, there's word from all sides that Sprint has put a vacation blackout on the month of May for retail employees, which would seem to imply that the Pre will be launched sometime in there. We saw similar vacation freezes on AT&T's end for both iPhone launches, and those ended up fairly accurate. We haven't seen this memo personally, or threatened any Sprint employees for confirmation with shivs fashioned out of Samsung Instincts yet, so we'll keep an eye out for any other information to confirm or deny. Meanwhile, check...

PRE Advocates???

Anyone receive theirs yet? If not, I am guessing it will be soon!

We're not totally sure here, but it sounds like Sprint employees are now being trained on the anxiously awaited Palm Pre. Over at PreThinking, they seem to have gotten their paws on an internal Sprint email that says that "employees can expect training to start in April as well as multiple communications to get them excited and ready to help our customers" for the Pre. Being of a curious nature, they apparently followed up to ask if the training had indeed begun, receving this mysteriously veiled reply: "I would like to inform that Sprint is in the process of providing the training...

No More: "No Cool Phones" Posts, Please!

All of these forums have a similar complaint: "where are all the new cool phones, and can I get one for free?"

Geeez! People, it's 2009, and most phones these days can do things a PC couldn't do twenty years ago. What are you really needing in a phone anyway?

I think the REAL problem is that most people want phones tailor made to suit their own likings. Well guess what? The phone features you want may not be what someone else wants, and the dilemma that phone manufacturers and wireless companies face is combining things together in a way that will appeal to the broadest possible audience.

Maybe someday phones can be custom ordered like cars and furniture. You would be able to select the color, style and features you want, and delete...

Phone Upgrade

I hope I am not opening up a can of worms. I am looking to upgrade my phone, I am at the 2 year mark. I was researching which phone to get. I don't need data, just phone and text. I was thinking of one with a Qwerty.

My question is why can I go to a 3rd party like Wirefly and get better pricing? I asked Sprint and they told me that they could not comment. I know there must be a reason why to not go to Wirefly or Best Buy, but as a consumer I am trying to find out what the catch is.

Thanks!

Warranty Replacement

I am now on my fourth Diamond and i was wondering if sprint follows the three warranty replacements policy and they will send you a different model. The reason i ask is because,my local sprint store is closing, and i can never get anyone over the phone with sprint to replace my phone. They always want it sent to the manufacturer. Now this wouldnt be a huge deal if the nearest sprint store (once the local one closes) is almost 100 miles away.
Any help would be great! Thanks!

Sprint CEO Hesse gets $14.2M in 2008 compensation

Sprint CEO Hesse gets $14.2M in 2008 compensation

By David Twiddy, AP Business Writer
CedMagazine.com - March 31, 2009

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) รƒยขรขโ€šยฌโ€œ Sprint Nextel Corp. Chief Executive Dan Hesse received compensation valued at $14.2 million in 2008 as the telecommunications company continued to lose ground in the wireless industry, according to an Associated Press analysis of a regulatory filing Monday.

However, much of Hesse's compensation was in stock and options, which have plummeted in value since he received them.

Hesse, 55, received a base salary of $1.2 million and a performance-based bonus of $2.7 million last year, according to a proxy statement filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

He also received stoc...

no sync through usb

After purchasing a usb cord from a sprint store sprint tech support has informed me that the phone does not have the ability to directly connect to a computer.

I live in a fringe service area and the upload to their website does not work.

I find it difficult to beleive that a usb cable can only be used to charge the battery $20 ill spent.

Might there be an application that would allow direct communication. Now I remove the card and place in a PDA and copy the files accross.

I'm talking to Sprint tech support at the moment. I've been cut off twice when called back from customer followup.

Is there a logical reason that the phone does not have the ability to do a hard connect with a computer ๐Ÿ‘ฟ

Question...Brand new insurance replacement

I had the light pink centro, and since insurance doesn't carry the light pink one Brand new anymore, they are sending me the pink berry centro. NO IT IS not goin to be refurbished bc i recieved a refurbished one yesterday and i called asurion and they said they would send me a brand new one but it will be berry! But i have noticed some sprint stores still carry the other pink one.

can i go to the sprint store with the berry one since it is still brand new in the box and exchange it for the other pink one?
