No More CEO Dan the Man ads

By Amol Sharma
Sprint Nextel’s decision to use CEO Dan Hesse in TV ads was a bold move at a time when public trust in corporate chiefs is at a low point. But now the wireless company says it will soon be rolling out new commercials that don’t feature him.

Mr. Hesse says the ads that feature him have been effective, especially in terms of brand recall. People remember the black-and-white spots with him walking through downtown Manhattan while classical music plays and he talks about the “revolution” of flat-rate data pricing.

But he says there’s only so much of him viewers can take. “I’ll wear out — they’ll get tired of seeing that guy,” he says.

Being a pitchman isn’t...

Im considering applying at the sprint call center here in town, Im currently working for verizon wireless but think i might want something new, I was just wondering if there is ok money in that and what exactly you do. Do you have to do alot of cold calling to customers or do you basically answer the phone all day? Any info would be awesome 😁

Best Sprint phone that doesn't require data plan?

I need opinions. Which Sprint phone would you say is the best, that can be used without a data plan? It will be used primarily for calls and texting. Having a decent camera would be nice, as well. What do you think?? 🙂

So Palm,

Now that Apple has announced the new software upgrade, now would be a fantastic time to announce something!

How about when it's coming out????

But seriously, now would be a great time for them to release something. It would really make it clear that the Pre is direct competition to the iPhone, which is something the Instinct didn't do enough.

Interesting read ...

Sprint Nextel may be feeling the pinch from businesses earliest because, among the top wireless carriers, it has the largest proportion of corporate customers. Sprint reported a "sizable" increase in turnover among corporate customers, accounting for more than 25 percent of its user base. Companies are eliminating employees and canceling contracts.

Touch Screen Phones

So I've had many phones in the past but I love touch screen phones. I don't think I could get just a regular phone again, it would have to be touch.
I have the opportunity to upgrade for the 2 year price a year early in July. I'm hoping there will be a great phone out then does anyone know anything about a new touch screen phone during that time?

Funny read with ATT & iPhone ...

"I can’t tell you how many iPhones I’ve seen in the past 24 hours here at SXSW Interactive. The best, though, is when you see these people cursing AT&T, saying things like, “Why would AT&T beef up its network in Austin when it knows 8 zillion iPhone users will be swarming the city for the next week?” This phenomenon—people being unhappy with the cellphone service, despite the flashy ads promising “amazing speed” and “more bars all over the damn place”—was picked up by the Times. The important thing to take away is that while companies are trying their best to improve cellphone service, there’s several technological hurdles that they have to overcome in order to deliver a truly wo...

Sprint Insurance going UP

Did everyone else get the paper work in the mail that they are upping the replacement cost of Higher end phones. I just got the BB pearl and its going back since I wont pay 100$ to get a refurbished phone!! CRAZY. When I started with them 10 years ago it was 30$ for replacement phones. BIG jump IMO....Needless to say I am sticking to the low to mid rage phones because of this!

Dan If You're Out There Here Is A Freebie.

Okay. Verizon tried to ambush the industry back in January '08 by launching it's Unlimited Plan for $99.99. Of course within six hours AT&T and T-Mobile had responded with similar offerings (obviously spies were involved but that's good, right?) Anyway...Sprint fired back by launching Simply Everything for $99.99 and I think Simply Everything is the best idea in wireless. However...it is still not doing the trick for some reason. I don't know why but the ship is still sinking. I don't want the ship to sink. Call me crazy, but the idea of losing another carrier is just not thrilling to me. So I want to offer some free advise or suggestions to Dan or whomever might be trolling this forum trying to identify employees who are leaking pro...

$99.99 unlimited plan. Is corporate discount applicable?

I work for a company that has a 17 % discount agreement with Sprint.

Can this discount be applied to the $99.99 unlimited plan?

In advance, thank you.

question for people that actually use the Instinct

Is it worth getting? I am torn between a bb 8330 and the instinct. I love to text and take pictures so I don't know what would be best. Is the instinct really worth it?
