4.5 OS for BB is out!

4.5 is listed on Blackberry's site for the 8330 and 8130 and includes MMS. Service books are there and tested with a few other carriers and able to send and receive!

Upcoming phones or Sprint (CDMA)

Palm Pre should be launched in late May, LG Rumor 2 should be in April along with a LG slider phone. Not too sure when the LG Touch will be launched. Not too sure when the new Samsung Instinct 2 and a mini Instinct or a mini Instinct like phone will be launched.

Sprint or Verizon??

I've been with Verizon forever and I'm no longer under contract but I'm thinking of making the switch to Sprint. I love the BB 8330 that I saw (and used) @ a Sprint store. I couldn't believe how fast the internet svc was. Is Spints internet service faster than Verizons?
I know I'll have to pay a little more up front for the phone if I switch to Sprint but I liked the looks of their 8330 compared to the Verizon version. What do ya think? Make the switch or not? TIA

So I have The Pink Katana Eclipse X which I like but the screen is a bit small for me. I plan on exchanging it before my 30 days are up and I can't quite decide on the Lotus, the pink Centro or the BB Curve. Help!

Ready link

Ok I know it is slow and I do have my eyes open for a Qchat phone that I like. Until then both my girlfriend and I have ready link phones and would like to use the feature. I did a update profile to my Power Vision and now my Ready Link does not work and when we were in the store yesterday, we were told that we could not add it to her account. Is this true? Did they totally turn this off? Why did mine work fine until I updated the phone?

Tech problem...Sprint Music Store...Samsung m520

An update became available for my phone right around the new year. I literally woke up one morning and the red light was flashing...said to click "OK" to update firmware. I did this. The next time I accessed the Sprint Music Store it asked me to update that software, so I did. After that the Music Store wouldn't load at all. The CSR said my problem didn't fit anything on her solution matrix, so she sent me to a corporate Sprint store, who somehow dumped the app and reinstalled it from a text message 12 days ago. Today I went to access the Music Store again, and got the same message that I needed to update the software, but no matter how many times I click "OK", the update doesn't complete. Once again, I can't access the Sprint Music S...

Cell phones as business phones

I just want to vent a little...

I work in a Sprint store and we handle insurance swaps for manufacturer defects only. The upside is that we do not charge the $50 deductible. Any physical damage, liquid damage or lost/stolen claims we refer them to assurion.

Typical situation:
Customer brings their broken phone to our store to do an insurance swap. Phone has obvious physical/liquid damage so I inform them we can not do the swap in store. Customer gets upset saying the infamous line "but this is my business phone!" They go on to say that Sprint is costing them money, they can't go without their phone for a few days. Normally the customer storms out.

My POV:
Why would you make a wireless device you're main source of communication? ...

Can someone help me?

I was wondering how much the old 500 minute SERO plan was and what was included. I have a customer that wants an instinct and I need to figure out whether I can come close to what she was paying on the SERO. Thanks in advance.

Adding bubbles to your home screen.

Ok, I'm trying to Personalize my Home Screen by adding a bubble. So, I go through the steps, select the weather bubble and it says it installed successfully, I then enter a zip code and hit ok and it says loading content. Well, it says loading content for hours and nothing happens. I've phoned tech. support and they are baffled. She told me that hers works fine though. Any thoughts?

Sprint to cut 8,000 jobs.

I heard this on the news this week. To the 8,000 employees about to lose their jobs, my heart goes out to you.

Sprint must have had another terrible quarter, because after Q3 results, they shed 5,000 jobs.

When will Sprint be able to turn itself around?

Samsung M320 to replace Nokia 3588i...any good?

My wife has Sprint and has an old Nokia 3588i that is starting to have various problems. She is considering upgrading and recently received an email offer for the Samsung M320.

She only wants a phone and does not need Internet, pictures, etc, so those features are not a concern. How good is it as a phone?

We are in the Los Angeles area.

F*ck Sprint!!!

they're closing our center. apparently proactive sales for new 2 yr agreements aren't "money making" enough for Dan Hesse i mean honestly, we renew at least 400 contracts a day and this is one of 3 centers doing it, F*ck you Dan Hesse, F*ck you indeed...anyone out there have his mobile number...and [email protected] is no longer in service...2 many death threats...

How to get rid of the sprint one click instructions for the LG Lotus.

1.You need to type ##3282# on your phone
2. Go down until you get to to XUI
3. Hit edit
4. Type in your MSL It is a 6 digit number (I got my MSL when I activated my Lotus online at Sprint.com, but if you want to you can call customer service and ask for it. Some reps won't give it so keep trying or you can take an old Sprint phone and swap the phone with your Lotus and then a few hours later Go to Sprint.com and swap it back to the Lotus using the Activate on line feature on their site, you will then get your MSL and you can print it out)
5. Go to Theme and change to LG.
6. Hit the End button

The phone will then turn itself off and then back on by itself. After this hapens you will see the LG UI.

I just did it and it works.

Qchat Question

Is it true that Qchat phones do not use roaming areas for data? According to the brouchures I got in store, only voice can be used in roaming areas. Data was only available on Sprints EVDO and 1RXX areas. Is this true? Why can non-Qchat phones roam for data? Thanks 😁
