Customer Service - Store vs. Phone

I am going to go ahead and try to redo my 7 year old plan. (Some of you may remember me from a week ago and my bad quote "issue").

I am kinda hoping to change to the Family Message plan. 1500 minutes is way overkill (only use 220 max per month). What is the chance that they would throw in data on one line?

Am I best off going into a Sprint location, or calling on the phone?

If I go in do I talk to anyone in particular or just the regular counter guy?

If I call do I speak with the retention dept., or just any customer service person?

I am also a credit union member. Who and where do I make the contact for that?

Thanks for your help!

Blackberries

Sorry people, I tried searching before I posted this, but I do not understand Niagra, Javelin, and blah blah blah.

My question is, Im out of contract now with Sprint and elgible to upgrade phones and was looking upgrading to a Blackberry, but after looking at the blackberry site I see the Bold and the Curve 8900. Is the Curve 8900 coming to Sprint that anyone is aware of?

I sure do not want to upgrade and after 30 days find out they are coming out with a newer model and be stuck with a older one or pay full price to get one.

Thanks!

Any employees affected by the 32 hour schedule???

Hey,

I was curious how employees were making out with full time hours dropped to 32 from 40.I know its not in effect for every store and I know the company has to make these changes happen to ensure survival. However, at the same time employees have rent, credit cards and other bills that will be affeced by the difference in hours. I'd like to know if you were affected at all or still working a full 40 hour schedule?

To sprint employees.

How are you doing with the new 5 or fail system? I few as though I am selling the survey more than anything sprint has to offer. I fell that the numbers are skewed because even if a customer is unhappy we still ask him or her to give us a five because that survey will affect our pay.

A good example is our store. Advanced Exchange. Customers have a phone that is messing up and want one that day. We are a small store with almost no inventory. So I create an order and the phone is on backorder and we also have zero in stock. I apologize to the customer and explain that we are a small store and cannot even offer a new phone. I tell him I understand he is upset but he still may get an automated call from sprint asking how my service was in...

Pandora users...great news!

Pandora is now FREE on Sprint. I first noticed it two or three weeks ago on my phone, and sure enough, our invoice came and bye-bye monthly $2.99!

Higher Fees = Breach of Contract?

Anyone taking advantage of this?

http://www.boygeniusreport.com/2009/01/20/sprint-ext ... »

Sounds legit from the reader comments. Does anyone working for Sprint know anything about this? I have a laptop card that I was just about to unload and pay the ETF but this looks promising.

Advice?

So I've had the lg rumor for about a year and a half and yeah... I'm bored with it.
I want to get the Lotus
Cheapest I can find it through sprint is 159.99.
In looking online the typical 3rd party guys (I.E. wirefly etc.) I'm seeing it as cheap as a penny with 2 year contract.
I don't mind signing up again but I don't want to do a number change, had mine forever.
I'm not opposed to adding a line so my brother can have his first cell phone, but I want the new phone.
If I were to add a line through wirefly and get the discounted lotus would anyone give me a hard time transfering the lotus to my number and the rumor to the new one?
Anyone have experience in it?

Discount Question

I updated my old plan.

They offerred me 10% discount per month to resign for 2 years.

I have not called the credit union yet, is it one or the other, or will both discounts apply?

LG Lotus- multi-tasking virtual machine

I just got the Lotus, LOVE IT! However, an icon comes up called "multitasking virtual machine" every so often. I figure its the same as when a PDA has multiple programs/windows running at the same time. My phone doesn't slow down at all so it doesn't really bother me. I haven't figured out how to close the running programs though. Has anyone seen this icon on their phone? I have to restart the phone to get it to go away.

I mean Crackberrys! 😁 This may be a dumb question but does time spent surfing the web come off the 450 minute or 900 plans? TIA

New Customer How do I Handle This?

I'm with Tmo now using a BB Flip and Hotspot@home. I want the Pre when it comes out, and will also need Airave.

I called Sprint Monday and they said my credit was approved, gave me a confirmation number. By the time the Pre comes out I'm afraid that could change.

Can I sign up now and somehow defer the start of my contract?

If I switch now I will need a phone that has Telenav (for work). I have a gps puck I use with the Flip and Mapquest Navigator.

But I want the contract price for the Pre, and can't afford to pay full price for a new Sprint BB, and an ETF to Tmo.
