Why does USCC even bother with the 6100 ??

It is the GRANDFATHER of the 8000.

We can follow the track records and "user reviews" of all phones on phonescoop.com. Seems to me that it'd be a fairly simple and straight-forward process to pick out the best-of-the-best. I don't know all the complexities that go into getting a certain phone on ones shelf, but I do know that USCC is notoriously behind the times. I've heard this at work many times and noticed it myself. Still, I am impatiently waiting for USCC to give me an excuse to quit Sprint and re-join USCC.

Blanket Coverage is HUGE DEAL!

I am a fairly new USC customer. I was not aware of the blanket coverage feature until recently. THIS IS A HUGE DEAL!

If I was a USC Sales Rep this would be one of the first things out of my mouth. "Not only will you be able to enjoy the our great home area, BUT in the off chance we do not have coverage where you are in your local area, ONLY USC will not bill you for roaming in your home area. You get the best of both worlds. Go ask Verizon/Sprint/Joe blow cellular etc if they will give you this service for our price"

From a customer perspective ths rocks and has made me a very loyal customer.

Now I just need a better phone, lol, have to wait until July (80% contract ya know), but I will re-new my contract with USC. I like ...

This is an insult to USCC. Other carriers are putting out the 7000 and now the 8000 while USCC is 2 years behind the curve. Sprint and Verizon have the best phones by FAR. Problem is, I like the coverage of USCC better here in Wisconsin. Lets just see how long it takes USCC to get in the Moto E815. This is an upgrade to the V710. I'll bet Verizon has the E815 bought, sold, and discontinued b4 USCC even gets it.

Where to buy a Motorola V710 outright?

I'm looking to buy a Motorola V710 outright. Any suggestions on where I might be able to find one, excluding eBay and the US Cellular store? All of the 710's on eBay seem to be for Verizon.

Speed Dial to US Cellular Voice Mail

Just got a new Nokia 6585 w/ US Cellular. The #1 speed dial seems to be pre-programmed to go to voice mail but I get this recording saying my call cannot be completed as dialed. I have my mail box set up and can access it by dialing in manually. Is there a way to make this #1 speed dial work? This is a great little phone btw!! Thanks for any input.

Talked to our Nokia rep yesterday, and we've got a tentative release date of April 1. I got to play with one, it was pretty sweet. 😁

help. ~~ US CELL Customer service stinks thus far...

I am a 2nd term US Cell customer at 17 months into my current contract. I was given two kyocera 1135 phones for my Sharetalk plan. Right from day one, these have not functioned very well. In the most common of areas, I receive poor reception vs. other carriers. I wanted to buy accessories for it after two months and was told it was a discontinued phone and had been so for quite a while !! So I have bared with these phones now for 17 months. Recently mine has started to function strangely. Alarms will go off but not make a sound and yes, the sound is not off.

What I am trying to get at is, I have repeatedly asked US cellular reps for two replacement phones in exchange for me renewing a new contract and they have turned me away numero...

Phone Weight and Size?

Why are all of USCC phones so big and heavy. I like the service but hate having to use a backpack to carry my phone around. ☚ī¸

Best RF vs best battery life

I will be replacing my handset in the Spring. I used to be a die hard Moto person 'cause of signal quality and battery life. I gave into peer pressure to go with a kyocera last time but was greatly disappointed. The battery is horrible, I can only guess to poor rf performance making the handset work harder.

My exper. with Audivox is limited, and Nokia could make a quality CDMA handset if there life depended on it when I ws in the "biz".

OK insiders... which handset will give me the best battery and best rf with a couple of decent features thrown in? Forward looking to coming handsets is ok too. Waht are ur personal favorites?
