Tech question, speakerphone

Ok, what Im wondering, is does the quality of the speakerphone more dependent on the software of the phone or the actual speaker itself.

Heres what I am thinking about doing, taking my 8300, an soldering in better speakers from a better speaker phone, such as a moto v60s or kyocera kx444 which are the two best speakers ever in a Verizon phone as far as I'm concerned.

Anybody have any clue if this would work?

new every two upgrade question

my upgrade with verizon wireless is in a week and i was wondering which way is cheaper to purchase my new phone, in store or online?

i understand the new every two upgrade is $100 off of the full retail price of a phone, which still leaves it pretty expensive since i'm considering an enV.

it seems to me though that purchasing a phone upgrade online would be cheaper because of an online discount or is that just a scam?

ATT To Stop Claiming Fewest Dropped Calls?

https://www.phonescoop.com/carriers/forum.php?fm=m&f ... »

Its funny that ATT seems like they're dropping the whole 'fewest dropped calls' thing. I guess it wasn't doing much for them... not a lot of ppl believed them anyway.

why are there no comprehensive online reviews for this phone? does anyone have any opinions on it? phone wise (call quality, speakerphone quality) how does it compare to the lg 8700? i love lg's, but the moto is cheaper and seems (from what i can tell) to be comparable in size and call function...am i wrong?

Samsung SCH-i760

Three question about the upcoming Samsung SCH-i760

1. I know it has an IR port on it, but does anyone know where it is on the phone?

2. The 730 came with an IR remote control program which I really like, does anyone know if that is going to be included in the I760 or are they dropping that package?

3. Anybody know if the 760 is going to come with two batteries like the 730 did?

long rant

just had a guy come in the store that wanted to upgrade 4 of his lines, and then add 1 more, this is how it went

c: customer
m: me

c- what kind of deal would you give me if i went with 4 Samsung U-740s, and a Treo 700WX?

m- if you go with the unlimited data package then i would be able to do 300 then give you a 100 MIR on the treo, and i would be able to cut 30 off of the samsungs to 150 with a 50 MIR.

c- what about accessories?

m- we are doing free car chargers and 50% off of leather cases

c- whats the cost on the cases?

m- honestly... like 3 or 4 bucks

c- thats funny because i have a catalog at home that the cost is 1 or 2 bucks

m- if you can get a better price than me, then i would go for it, its going to save ...

Question about Verizon phones with reception

I've been searching the forum but I haven't found anything detailing phones with good reception. the ones that do talk about good reception are older ones that my mom will not be able to get nor would it be easy to talk her into it.

My mom's phone gets bad reception. She lives in a city surrounded by mountains and trees where one of the graduating classes was of 50 people and the graduation from Junior High to High School was easily fit inside a basketball court/gym.

She lives in a trailer park where you get bad reception and lives in a metal trailer. Trying to find her a phone that will provide her with the best reception, good battery life, able to recieve picture txts, and of course cost effective with a 2 year agreement.

Sorry f...

help understanding pre pay/easy pay

i work for an authorized dealer. we only sell pre pay (which i never have any in stock anyways). i had some questions: (and if the answers are different, please specify between pre and easy pay)

1. do any phones work on the service or do they have to buy certain phones? I usually only have the nokia 2366i in stock and its in a pre pay package. i have the same phone for plans but its not in the same package.

2. do they get a monthly bill?

3. how do they add minutes? cards or straight to the phone?

4. what features can they NOT use (ie vcast, vz nav) or are they able to use everything?

5. are they able to keep their number if they switch from a plan to a pre pay or vice versa and does it cost money to switch (besides a...

What concrete info is there that Veizon will pick up the Curve? I know there was that one report from BG but that didn't even state any real specifics.

Sprint treo exclusive?

A Sprint salesperson just told me that Sprint has a 6 month exclusive on new treos that they carry. So that means Verizon will not sell the 755P until late November. He also said that the Treo 800 will be out on Sprint before the holidays and will run on Linux. Do you think he knows what he he is talking about? He seemed very knowledgeable and confident of his information.

What's the next best carrier? Changing for a better phone

I'm finally seriously considering switching to another carrier with better phones. My family is behind me and my company will switch shortly after. What is the next best for service. I'm mostly in LA and do some traveling in Southern California, Nevada and Northeast a few time during the year.

Thanks for the input.

Over the past few weeks, my girlfriend has been looking into international cell phone plans. At the Verizon Wireless Web site, she had an online chat with a sales representative. I feel compelled to share this verbatim transcript:

A Verizon Wireless online pre-sales specialist has joined the chat. You are now chatting with chelsea.
chelsea: Hello. Thank you for visiting our chat service. May I help you with your order today?
You: I am interested in the international BlackBerry and am looking for detailed information for rates on data and voice when making calls from different countri...
