New SmartPhones?

So I've read the new Q is coming and supposably a new Samsung but what does everyone think of Verizon's line-up of SmartPhones? I"ve been with VZW for 7 years and haven't had a problem with coverage but am looking to switch to a SmartPhone.

I really would like a phone with Wi-Fi since I'm paying so much for service before any extras anyways but just wanted to see what Verizon has up their sleeves for the next two-three months for Smartphones

8350 and bluetooth version

Anyone have any idea which version of bluetooth that lg will be putting on the 8350? It seems to be a mixed bag with lg, as the 8700 has 1.2, however, the new chocolate still has 1.1. Thanks for any info.

expanding?

Okay, i know how verizon likes to keep pace with at&t and i was wondering, since at&t recently bought out a carrier to take over the western part of maryland, is it likely that verizon will expand their network into the western maryland area?

HTC 5800 / Fusion / S720 with MAC OS

Will the HTC 5800/Fusion with Windows be likely to SYNC with MAC OS computers? For example, will MAC MAIL Sync with Outlook as it is programmed on a phone like the 5800? How about syncing with music downloads?

compatibility

ok, this may sound like a dumb question... so bare with me...

would it be possible to buy a helio wireless phone and activate it on verizon?

i notice that helio and verizon are both CDMA and both use 850/1900 and EVDO

any ideas?

Get out of Your Contract w/o ETF!!

http://www.engadgetmobile.com/2007/08/20/faking-ones ... »

This is Funny. What else do Customer's do to get out of an ETF. A friend of mine had a Customer say that they live in a NO Service area which VZW will research and waive ETF if it was true... but the guy lived in Manhatten. There were 28 towers under a mile from his address. Then he said he got no service at work, Staten Island. Then he said he was in Nevada and had no service. Earlier in the week AT&T called for his Account Number, needed to port his #'s over. Just pay the ETF people. We even prorate it now-a-day.

Hey VZW!! How about a DUAL UI Phone!!

Since so many including PC mag. and myself cannot tolerate your UI why not offer us...yes thats right the customer you have been crippling for years now, the option to choose in Tools & Settings which interface we want??? Leave the factory unbranded version in the phone and somewhere in the hidden menu put your heinous version of a cell phone user interface in there.

OR.....just make it easy on yourself and sell one phone, that's essentially what you are doing now.

Only my opinion of course.

Got an LG 8300, Like It So Far -=-=-=-=-=-

I know everyone done TOLD me to go get an 8300 when I asked around for what to upgrade to, and I dissed you all by going with the Sammy 540, which was a mistake.

So I returned that phone, and got the 8300, and while its still early, yeah, it looks like you were all right and I was wrong. 🤭

The speakerphone works way better than the Samsung's, no real echo/feedback issues so far. I am surprised in that its not as loud as I thought it'd be, though... you have to put the speakerphone on med-high or high for it to actually be loud (unlike the u540, which was kinda loud even on med-low), and it'll distort some at those volume levels, but its still better overall than any speakerphone I've had. In the win column, speaker's so good th...

How many phonescoop Verizon Wireless forum users does it take to change a lightbulb?

26 to post how much they hate Verizon’s lighting production practices

14 to ask that if those 26 hate it so much why they don’t use AT&T for their lighting.

350 to ask if Verizon will be releasing any new styles of lightbulbs in the near future.

124 to point out that even if Verizon did release a new lightbulb, you’d be restricted to only using it in a Verizon light socket.

12 to ask how to put their own filaments in their new Verizon lightbulbs

132 to tell them to go to Bitpim.org

A few posters complain that downloading filaments from Get It Now is too expensive.

156 to ask if Verizon will finally allow users to transfer lumens via Bluetooth in the 4th quarter lineup of lightbulbs.

136,000 posts related to Apple’s...

CDM-8905 is online now

$19.99 with 2 year (should be free)

This is the other model that was announced when the PN-300 was. It looks like a better quality phone than the PN-300, although it is a little ugly.

Time will tell how it stands up.

Possible Cracked Earpiece

All of a sudden my 90 day old LG VX 8700 earpiece is distorting when I hear people as they speak to me. This only recently started. It is really annoying.
I originally bought it through VZW telesales. If I want to get it replaced, can I call them up and tell them it is distorted?

Will they send me a FRU through the mail or do I have to take it to a store to have someone look at it?

LG's lovely KU990 with vodaphone branding

Welll verizon i see you have your iphone killer...!!! And might i add it is a beauty...2bad it will only be 3g once it hit the states...!!!

"Every time we see this thing, we forget what the iPhone is, if but for just a moment. Between the integrated FM radio, HSDPA, stereo Bluetooth, microSD expansion, 3 inch touchscreen with the Prada's stellar interface, tight YouTube integration, and 5 megapixel cam with xenon flash, LG's upcoming KU990 looks fit to take on all challengers. It comes in at 103.5 x 54.4 x 14.8 millimeters, making it about a centimeter shorter, half a centimeter narrower, and 3 millimeters less thick than Apple's device. Still no word on when we might see this thing in our hands (or anyone's), but owing to the silkscreene...
