Data Plan Price

I am thinking about getting a PDA/Smartphone but can't seem to find out how much the data plan would be. I went to verizon's site but all it gave me was prices for data & voice. I do not need both, I am part of a family plan and need to know how much to add data just to my line. Thanks for any help I can get!

HTC XV-6800: How long more realistically?

I've been following up on the news on this phone from VZW for some time. Of course both AT+T and Sprint have it, but VZW does not. My NE2 has been up for a while, and this is the only phone I want.

I saw a report that it would come out in July, then another one giving us hope for August 16 release. Then we learn from the good people at VZW who keep us informed on this forum, that they haven't yet been trained not only on this phone, but neither on WM6.

YIKES!!!

Do I smell an Oct delivery at this point, or even a later date?

What's your thought VZW reps? Thanks, S

Beating a dead horse here

I just have to get this off my chest in hopes that the Verizon reps are actually reading this. I have not renewed my contracts (4) phones because I am waiting for the easy out on you guys. I look everyday for new phones to come in and everyday I see the same old lame bunch. I need a pda phone (your q was terrible). I need a camera phone for the hubby, a cool phone for the teen and just a down & dirty for mom. If you watch the other guys, they at least listen to their customers and try to offer what they want. They don't alsways get it right, but they show that they are listening. I am just waiting for at&t to get better coverage in this area and then I am gone. If they don't I will be looking at all other options (except for Sprint). Come on...

Waiting for new phones (R)ant

Just had to post this comment about Verizon it may have a good network and you don't drop a lot of calls which is great. BUT.....

If Verizon had invented the wheel we would all be walking still.

What is the problem with the companys they use to get new cell phones. ATT, Sprint, ETC seem to get new phones all the time. I swear Verizons development area is using Crayons and kindergartners to design there phones and this is the reason for the delay.

Sorry to rant and yes I did see that post about the 15 "UPCOMING BUT NOT OUT" new phones we customers are always waiting for Verizon. 👿

850MHz and 1900MHz

Does VZW have any areas that are 1900MHz only whether it's a native or roam coverage area? Would I be right if I were to say that you can get 850MHz nationwide with VZW's network because it's come to my attention that many places in at&t's coverage map is 1900MHz only which would be an inherent weakness on their part.... something at&t would be able to do little about.

Let me know if you know, thanks!

i760 or xv6800 or wait for the touch/vogue

im not sure what to do, my contract is up in september and i want to get a ppc. im leaning towards the i760 or maybe the xv6800. but i heard the verizon is getting the htc touch/vogue. should i wait for this to come out, or should i just get the i760. i feel like im getting old technology since it takes verizon so long to come out with their phone. Anyone know if the touch/vogue is coming out anytime soon?

should i wait or get the i760/xv6800 when they come out?

RAZR2 Already Up On TestMan Site...

Price is $349 with a 2-yr. (Assume that online discount or MIR will cut that to $299? No mention of that yet.)

Battery life looked good considering the small battery... 215 minutes talk time, 310 hours standby.

Oh, and this is the bluetooth stack... looks 'less crippled', in the vein of the Maxx or enV:

Bluetooth® Profiles Supported: Headset, Hands–free, Serial Port, Dial Up Networking, Bluetooth Stereo Support for Listening to Music, Object Push and File Transfer for device generated images, video and vCard

[POLL] Best phone VZW has ever had

Digital only, no startac votes!

I would say the Lg8300 in my opinion. I know the 6000 and e815 were great to but I still say the 8300 is the best ever.

PC Magazine blasts Verizon UI - RAZR2

"How can you make a RAZR2 less fun? By slapping the same old interface on it that you'd find on a free phone, that's how. Verizon Wireless's RAZR2 is the same gorgeous chunk of metal and glass that you see hawked by the other wireless carriers, with the same excellent voice quality too. But Verizon's pedestrian menu system manages to take a lot of the wow and pizzazz out of the phone.

But if you want to go beyond making phone calls, get ready to stifle a yawn. That because the RAZR2 uses Verizon's very old, simple text-based interface. It doesn't even measure up to the new and slightly flashier Flash interface you see on phones like the LG VX8700. The text-based interface is easy to use for beginners, but the high-end RAZR2 isn't a beginn...

THIS IS HOW PHONE RELEASES WORK!!!!!

Just thought this should be posted again, (originally done by Chris "cwcanty")

Why do we have to go through this everytime a new phone comes out. It's getting so ridiculous with all of this speculation.

When a phone comes out, this is what happens...

--Its in infocenter, reps will start buzzing about it

--Stock will start to arrive at the stores, but they may or may not be able to actually sell the phone.

--VZW may release a press release stating the exact date for release.

--Finally, reps will continue to provide info on concrete dates as supply continues to come in. And the eventually a final date for sale will be set and the phone will be sold.

This is how it happens damn near everytime a new phone is released, and I ...
