5GB cap and business users

Am I the only one that thinks Business users should be treated differently in this regard? If you piss off business users because of a 5GB cap, you'll potentially lose hundreds of lines and I feel sorry for the business reps out there who have to put up with this. At least make it a 50GB cap or something!

SNL Kagan Releases New 10-Year Wireless Projections

SNL Kagan Releases New 10-Year Wireless Projections
Study forecasts that 84% of U.S. population will have mobile phones by end of 2007

Monterey, Calif. (Aug. 23, 2007) – In a just-released study, SNL Kagan estimates that 84% of the U.S. population, including consumer, business and double users, will have mobile phones by the end of 2007, with this percentage surging past 100% by 2013.

SNL Kagan's research also shows that U.S. cell phone subscriptions will grow at a rate of about 3% per year over the next decade versus total population growth of only 1%, despite decreasing net additions as 100% penetration is approached. These projections anticipate increased data use, including text, Web and video, which could be accelerated by new ...

Free song ID

Not sure if everybody knows it, but it works pretty good.

Select Get It Now
Select Music & Tones or Tunes and Tones
Select Get New Ringtones
Select Get New App
Select V Cast Song ID

Just hold it up to your radio and it will tell you the name of the song, artist, and album title.

New Treo

Quick question. I heard that the new Treo, the ugly one, has a one month exclusive with Sprint and then it will go to other carriers. Does anyone know if Verizon is getting one b/c I heard the OS is newer than the 755p that's going to come out in November (or so they say. Any INFORMATION would be great.

W385 the best?

From the reviews their seem to be a lot of people that are really impressed with the W385 from Motorola. Knowing Motorola's have a history of not holding up was wondering if anyone has anything to report. Also do you think this is the best "basic" phone Verizon currently has to offer...or best "basic" phone ever? I'm up for a new phone and appreciate the feedback!

OVERSEAS, CELLPHONES MOSTLY 'UNLOCKED'

OVERSEAS, CELLPHONES MOSTLY 'UNLOCKED'

By Leslie Cauley, USA TODAY

Are you unlocked?

If you live in the USA, probably not. Wireless devices here are generally "locked" by carriers so that they work only with that carrier's network and software applications.

In Europe, the situation is just the opposite: Phones are typically "unlocked," enabling wireless customers to switch carriers and applications with ease.

Unlocked phones, by definition, are based on GSM technology. Why? Only GSM devices use SIM cards tiny chips that relay user identification information to carriers.

Devices based on CDMA technology, the other major standard in the USA, don't have SIM cards. Instead, customer information is imbedded directly into the ...

You must have GOOD CREDIT to deal with Verizon!!!

I thought it was funny. But I kinda feel where she is coming from, hell, I don't have a credit card either...

Hello. Thank you for visiting our chat service. May I help you with your order today?

[10:13:21 PM] Visitor: I am trying to upgrade my phone, but it wants to verify with a credit card. I don't have a credit card, and the upgrade is free!

The checkout page requires a credit card even if you have a zero balance. Your state may charge taxes based on the retail price of the phone. After you enter your credit card information, the next page will show you if any balance due before your order is processed.

[10:14:23 PM] Visitor: I don't have one. Can it be verified by checking account?

Unfortunately, only credit cards are...

Verizon to Release 8GB Music Phones by Year-End

Its on the front page of PhoneScoop, along with their announced deal to partner with Real Networks and MTV.

Of course, I don't think they say whether that's 8GB internal, or if they're just gonna support 8GB mem cards or whatnot.

I personally don't care that much, 'cuz I'm gonna continue to use iPods (along with most ppl, prolly), but if you care about music on cellphones, looks like VZW is stepping up their game.

smart techy needed on reception issues

Please help. This is my last resort. Hopefully, a Verizon tech with brains can give me some ideas. I am a 20 years customer that has been very happy with verizon(wish better phone choices). Here is the problem: I have lived in the same place for 9 years always with verizon and no recpetion problems. I use just my Treo 700w cell for all calls at home (my home line is for tivo and telemarketers). No problems for 9 years and have had same treo for more than a year. All of the sudden in June starting when I get home on Friday afternoon/evenings, I do not get cell reception at my house. No calls in or out. One or two power bars if at all, but no calls through. Phone just says "dialing" and hangs up. I am out of cell service at home until M...

Damn people

I know Ive been posting angry comments lately but come onpeople, is anybody else absolultly sick of the same questions? There seem to be a ton of newbies on here that just want to ask the same question over and over and over.

-Why does Verizon Cripple all their phones?

-Which phone should I get? (p.s. if neither phone is out that you ware asking about, how the hell would be know?)

-When is ------ coming out?

-Any new phones on the horizon?

-The Verizon UI sucks!
