Here is what I care about. Large phone book, decent battery life, bluetooth, and above all else reception, being the MOST important. In the past I have tried other phones and none of them compared to the star tac for me, so I really want to be sure.
Here is what I am looking at.
Samsung SCH-a990
LG VX8700

Moto Razr maxx ve
All the other features these phone provide are nice, but I depend on my phone for work (outside sales) so what do you think would be right for me?
Thanks in advance for your help
v3m discussion
The only real improvement could be the battery life, but that is the complaint of most cell phone users...
Anyway, with the upcoming release of the v9m, I thought us v3m users could discuss our likes and dislikes...
Also, do any v3m users plan to jump to the v9m or will you keep your v3m for awhile longer?
Thanks

Verizon Tech Confirms Software Issue with W385 & KRZR K1m
I talked to a Verizon tech in the Chicago area about the issues with the new flash UI found on the Moto W385 and the KRZR K1m. The issues are:
1. No indication to tell you what is the current selected ringtone.
2. No easy way to toggle from ring to vibrate mode, and vice versa.
He confirmed that this is not right and will follow the proper channels to inform Motorola that a software update needs to be done to correct these issues.
Note: These are the only 2 phones that VZW carries that has these issues, and the tech confirms that it was Motorola's blunder, and that it should have been caught somewhere in testing.
Sound familiar, Motorola, such as the days following the release of the buggy V325?

W385 reduced...
Thinking about an upgrade.....
1. Do I have to pay full retail for the new device?
OR
2. Can I get the 2-year contract price if I'm willing to sign a new contract?
Just looking for some insight. Thanks.

Razr 2 V9M is up for sale on the VZW site right now !!
I guess the stores will launch sept 2nd ??
Looks cool but with 770MAH battery , I bet you all the money in Fort Knox, talk time will be horrid..
Unless they figured out something no one else knows. Battery's need to me 900-1100 to be decent.. Size makes it impossible and I guess some people will live with the battery..
I hope it's great , The W385 showed us Moto Has a chance.

Question for a VZW Rep.
Thanks in advance! 🙂
Sprint Extends Your Contract Without Written Confirmation???
Wow, reading this article kinda ticked me off. Sprint is definitely not making any friends for itself in this matter. 😲
With VZW, while there are things I don't like, at least with them when I do things that extend my contract the rep has always told me at the time, and I've always gotten a letter in the mail confirming the contract end date change.
I can't imagine why a cell company would think its ok not to do written confirmation on something as important as a contract end date change. It's just asking for FCC complaints, and eventual tighter regulation.
this is verizon!!
ATT Drops 'Fewest Dropped Calls' Campaign... LOL
Following a Better Business Bureau investigation into Cingular's (now AT&T's) "fewest dropped calls" ad campaign and a protracted legal fight with Sprint over the issue, AT&T is reportedly dropping its claim, according to an employee.
Turns out, the assertion was never really true, and was based on only a small part of a larger Telephia report.
As a whole, the [Telephia] report notes that AT&T Wireless did NOT have the most reliable network in places like New York, Chicago, Houston and Los Angeles, according to Broadband Reports.
Recent studies from Consumer ...
