Please help- question on future PDA launching ..........

I want to port my number over to Verizon, but I am waiting for either the Blackbery Curve or the Pearl, possibly the Samsung i760 PDA's to be offered. Does anyone out there have any idea when any of the 'rumored' phones would be launched? If anyone has any idea, I would be ever grateful. Thanks. 😉

LG vx10000 'enV' - WOW!

have you folks seen the new LG vx10000. all that i can say is A-W-E-S-O-M-E. it appears to be wider, very thin and a wide screen inside. this appears that this will be a fantastic seller for verizon. look on gizmodo.com under verizon. i hope that they will follow through with this beauty!!

I find it funny...

The iphone is currently at a user rating of 3.58 on phonescoop while the new chocolate is sitting at a score of 3.99. I know it isn't comparing apples to apples (no pun intended), I just found it humorous.

Yeahright? a question about downloading ringtones!

I am very confused...I tried yeahright's suggestion of downloading ringtones to my phone. I downloaded the mp3 cutter from cnet and then I tried to send it via email at myphone#@vzwpix.com and I got an email back saying it could not deliver. Then I tried his second suggestion and tried to send it through the funformobile.com site and it said that it sent me a mms message but I received no message on my phone. I have a Motorola w385? Could there be some kind of block on my phone, meaning do I have something enabled that should not be? any suggestions?? Thanks.

Good idea?

Att is offering a function that allows their customers to limit sms and call usage. Here is the link to the article.

Thoughts??

I think that VZW will come back and push the fact that we have unlimited messaging and that in network calling gives kids and others unlimited usage of phones.

I am looking to switch to Verizon Wireless, but I have noticed that Verizon has really high tax and surcharges...

If anyone can give me an idea of how much taxes would be on the following:

89.99
9.99
44.95 Data Plan
-------
144.97

Thank you!

Of all the places to find pics of the u900...

I just did a google search for the u900 because I'm interested in getting it at some point. There were a few places that had leaked pictures of what the phone is supposed to look like. You know who had the best/most pictures? Wirefly. 😕

I wonder if they know it won't be out for a while...

It would be nice...

It would be nice if Verizon would add something extra to their plans to help with saving anytime minutes. They brag about their 62.1 million customers and unlimited IN Calling, however, my family isn't a part of that of that group. They use everything but Verizon.
Their network is excellent, and I have never had any problems with them, however, it would be nice to have a circle of friends like T-Mobile and Alltel offer. Anything extra would help.
I hated Cingular and T-Mobile when I used them, but that was before GSM. The people at work seem to be satisfied with AT&T, and as a mailman I deliver many AT&T and T-Mobile bills.

Little excited here...

All these new devices coming out...That U900 looks mighty fine. I sort of want a good camera on my phone. The 8130 will be awsome finally a camera on a vzw blackberry!... I feel like a kid in a candy store. System what's your thought on the
8350? The 8300 was a great phone. I had no problems with it for the duration of time I had it. The LG 8600's I've had....well they look pretty, that's about all there worth.

New Every Two Question

I have had the privilege of having verizonwireless service since about 1996 with no late payments or anything negative on my account. My new every two will be up 10/19/07. I have been holding off till then to purchase a new phone but last night it finally broke. Do you think or is it even possible for any kind of help from VZW on this situation. I would possibly like to get the new razr2 if possible. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Flashing phones

Why can Verizon not just send a software update to my 8300 without me having to bring in my phone and dropping it off for however long while I wait or leave and come back in an hour? I just saw a post about version 4 of the software able to handle a 4gig memory card. Why with all the V-cast and live TV and downloading ringtones can I not get a prompt to update my software over the air like my computer when it gets software updates? It would sure save a lot of time for me. I know the technology must be there...so why not?

Q9m = POS

As much as I wanted a "NEW" pda phone, this one... well F'N SUX BIG TIME!!! Although, I am now familiar with pda features, it's going back ASAP. It seemed like the html pages worked pretty decent the first 48hrs. Now you ask??? 2 thumbs down. I could take a shower, hard boil some eggs, and write a thesis on how slow this phone is before it opened a web page. Battery life you ask??? I cycled the battery like you're supposed to, and can't get a full day on a overnight charge. I did like the 2 different profiles though. I will clearly wait for the i760 or the 6800, or whatever comes first. I really wanted to keep this sucker too. Oh well...
