Customer service nightmare

DO NOT deal with Verizon Wireless unless you're willing to endure continuous calling if you try to close your account.

Last week, shortly after telling Verizon's sales person I was switching to T-Mobile because their Customer Service is a disaster, I began getting three to five calls each day that hang up as soon as I answer. Doing a *69 revealed they were coming from 1-800-470-0768, Verizon Wireless' number. Calling a supervisor (Jasen) resulted in an apology and him putting me on their Do Not Call list, which he says won't take effect for 30 days. He also said this is a "known problem with Verizon's auto-dialer" for which Verizon has no solution. It's only noon and so far today I've gotten three calls from them, two hangups and an...

Samsung u740 phone - bluetooth problem?

Have a u740. Tried to us motorola stereo bluetooth headphones with it. Calls worked great on them but the music would not play over them. When I hit the play music button on the headset, the volume of the phone speakers dropped a little but was far from silent, and no music on the headphones at all. Any help out there for this problem?

New Verizon Customer has a Question

How do you send a text message to your phone from a home PC? I asked CS what the proper address was for Verizon but it didn't work. Other cell phone providers I have had commonly used [email protected](or com) or something similar.

New LG!

Does anyone know when there will be an update to the 8300 like an 8400 or 8350? I have had the 8000, 8100, and 8300 so I would like to see another version of this phone. I hate the 8600.
Thanks, baller.

JT-TV

From RCR Wireless Worst of the Week:
"--Verizon Wireless announced it will launch a mobile TV channel on its Vcast service called JT-TV. What does JT-TV stand for, you ask? Justin Timberlake television. It’s a mobile TV channel from Mr. “Sexyback” himself, Justin Timberlake. I, for one, am giddy. With hate."

Are you guys serious? 🤣

Nokia & Qualcomm Resolve Disputes? Announcement Pending...
General News
Written by Christopher Price
Thursday, 15 February 2007
Nokia, Sprint Nextel, and Qualcomm have scheduled a press conference for next Wednesday. This press conference will be run by the CDG (CDMA Development Group), the consortium for the CDMA platform. The combination of Nokia and Qualcomm, alongside the nation's only WiMAX and CDMA-committed carrier (Sprint Nextel) is certainly a sign of changes ahead. Nokia and Qualcomm are locked (as of last week) in a bitter patent dispute. Qualcomm is asserting patent rights to Nokia technology behind GSM, while Nokia is complaining o...

Sprint Lowers SMS Prices with Power Packs for Messaging

As of today Sprint customers with Power Pack Plans can add unlimited text messaging on an individual plan for only $10 per month. For those customers on Power Pack Family Plans the cost is only $20 per month, and covers all lines on the account.

"Text messaging continues to grow in popularity as a routine way to communicate," said Scott Wiener, vice president of marketing for Sprint. "Our customers want more ways to stay connected without limits placed on their usage. With the ability to get not only unlimited text messaging but also more unlimited night and weekend voice calling than the competition, Sprint Power Pack Plans are the best value in wireless giving customers more u...

New customer, online order

I placed an order online and the order was shipped. After reading about the deposits I was wondering if the order was shipped does that mean a won't need a deposit or will they tell me I need one when I activate it?
Also I was wondering about the phone I had originally ordered. I ordered a phone and then I saw that they had the new strawberry chocolate. Can I change my phone when I recieve it or do I have to keep it now, and wait a certain period of time?

Which Treo?

Should I buy a 650 from eBay, or get the 700p? Since I'm not up for upgrade until May and i'd like a PDA now, I was considering the 650 since I can get it now. How is the 650 as a phone? Good reception? How is it compared to the 700p? Is it as responsive as the 700p? I am probably not going to get the data package, so I dont care about EVDO vs. 1x.

Razr V3C Warranty

Today I took my GF's pink V3C to have looked at and they told me they can't do anything because there was water damage. So they showed me the water damage indicator on the phone and there was a small line (very small... maybe 1/16" the size of the sticker) that was red and not the whole sticker. Is this truly considered water damage or does the whole sticker need to be red??? Thanks

Motorla Q, HELP!

Hi,
I was thinking about buying this phone as my contract is up soon

a few questions.

1. What is the general review of this phone (for those of you that have had experience with this phone) [usability, signal, battery, etc]

2. Do I have to sign up for that expensive plan they have for PDA/Smartphone blah blah on Verizon?
[I dont need internet access or whatever that plan entails... just need this phone to be part of a regular family plan]

3. Any other comments?

thanks.

The phone is not listed on bitpim and i don't have a cable. If anyone has success using bitpim and bluetooth let me know. If you can send through mms let me know as well, but it looks like it will put them in the locked sound folder 🙄
