What is the difference??????????????????

Besides price point, what is the difference between unlimited MediaNet and PDA or BlackBerry Unlimited?

Both offer unlimited internet and data.

Google confirms huge search traffic from iPhones
iPhone users generate 50 times the search traffic of other devices
Jonny Evans
---------------------------------------------
Google has confirmed it has seen 50 times more searches from the iPhone than from any other mobile handset.

“We thought it was a mistake and made our engineers check the logs again,” Vic Gundotra, head of Google’s mobile operations told the Financial Times at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.

The Google executive observed that if other mobile manufacturers begin to implement full web browsing capabilities in their devices then that should drive mobile search to ...

Ordering from Amazon....

Anybody have any info. or know how the discounts work on Amazon? I've been thinking of switching to AT&T because my wife can get a corporate discount through her job. I thought about buying the phones from Amazon because they have some great deals on the phones we want.
I would keep the same plan, just apply the corporate discount after getting the phones. Anyone know if Amazon would take the discounts for the phones back? This is what the wording says on their site:
Conditional $250 Discount
The Price listed above for this phone includes an instant $250 discount from Amazon.com. You agree to repay this $250 discount to Amazon.com if, during the six-month period following the activation date or renewal date of your existing contract, you...

MMS problems-quick fix

I've been noticing since the change on the Data/Text plans that pix text aren't working right. The plans are taking the Wireless Internet Pay-Per-Use off the accounts and rendering the unlimited Pix and IM moot. If you have noticed this a quick fix before you call customer service is to check the Wireless Internet Pay-Per-Use is still on the account. If it's not, add it back on. Any customers who have had this happen can have a rep over the phone or go to a COR/dealer location and have them do it for you.

Just trying to help.

Granted GSM encryption has been broken before but it took time and money. If this is correct it'll be a problem.

Incentives

I'm so tired of old AT&T customers still coming in complaining that they can't get a phone at a discounted rate with their Old AT&T Blue Plan. Even after explaining fifty times, they persist. Then the inevitable question comes up... "Well, what incentives will you offer me to switch to the New AT&T?" Of course our standard incentives aren't good enough. They think they deserve something special for sucking dry some old rate plan that gives them the world for pennies. "I've been a customer of AT&T for years." Well, we aren't that company.

IMEI info please

How do I check if a phone I purchased used is HOT or not?

Called AT&T and they wouldn't release any info, saying I didn't buy it at a AT&T store nor it's a phone under my account.

If I purchased it at a AT&T store, why would I need to check at all, it's a Cingular phone.

TIA

Intersting Engadget Article About GSM Hacking

Researchers claim GSM calls can be hacked on the cheap

Posted Feb 21st 2008 10:10PM by Joshua Topolsky
Filed under: GSM, Misc

Callers, your worst nightmare is coming true... maybe. According to a report, a group of hackers at the Black Hat conference in Washington D.C. claim that they're able to hack GSM calls with equipment costing about $1,000. If you believe the team (and we're inclined to at least have a listen), they can decrypt GSM phone conversations and text messages on a network using inexpensive tools called field programmable gate arrays. Until now, the cost of the technology required to hack GSM transmissions has been prohibitively expensive for all but your government and large-scale snooping operations, but that's beginn...

Legacy Dobson

Well the rumormill on the old site says pink slips where sent out for us. Anyone in the real world heard anything definite? I mean seriously its a big company do they really need to can us? Do they have any plans on changing us around? Our leaders here are so tight lipped about stuff we don't know its happening till its a week old news. Its our jobs and our lives and they are being punks. I need my job and if its gone tell me so i can go looking and not miss that paycheck cause my behind lives pay to pay. I got MF bills coming out my ears. BTW if ever one of you kind AT&T people would just give me one dollar each I could definitely feel safe. If your interested in donating to my Future Fund please respond asap.

Out Of Options.....

I'm hoping someone can help me, Recently divorced, having to file bankrupsy, and really no where to go, my life is now back on track with a new job... But my credit score is like 400. Not exactly first rate.

When we were married we had at&t under my work discount, couldn't pay it... Still really can't....because it balooned into a 2000 bill and with collection fee's its about 2600. With 2 kids, husband, me, and mom. So with the bill and 1000.00 in forced cancellation fees it skyrocketed.

With at&t are there any other month to month services besides the GO Phone. Like T-Mobile I was looking, they have Flex pay, you can pick any regularly priced plan, any fetures, including bb and sidekick WITH NO CONTRACT. The only catch is that you h...

Can Anyone Confirm This?

I was told by my RAE that AT&T will soon be offering FREE mobile-to-mobile messaging. This will NOT be an add-on feature like before. It will be built into ALL plans. I do not remember for sure, but I believe he said it starts today. Anyone know?

Handset question

Okay, so it appears that the base iPhone plan is based on the 450 minutes for 40.00, unlimited media net for 15.00, and 200 texts for 5.00 = 60.00.

PDA's like the BB Curve get charged 30.00 for unlimited data/internet. Not sure why it is 15.00 more than unlimited media net, but it is.

Any other phones in at&t's stable that are would qualify for the specs above @ 60.00 a month that are more PDA than the iPhone is?

Analog Networks to Go Dark On Monday

"Monday, February 18, the FCC will allow wireless network operators to shut down their old analog networks. These networks, built in the 1980s and called Advanced Mobile Phone Systems (AMPS) were some of the first used in the U.S. Network operators can also turn off their first-generation TDMA digital networks. Verizon Wireless and AT&T plan to shut their analog networks down on the 18th. The number of AMPS and TDMA users is low, so most wireless costumers will be unaffected. Other, regional network operators will likely turn their analog networks off as well."

Regarding this, I was wondering if anyone had feedback on this from the customers whose service may have been axed. If customers have been upset or if they have been happy to get ...
