Am I doing my math right.

Lets say I wanted 3 blackberries on a family plan.

1400 min family plan
1) $89.99
2) $0
3) $9.99

Add data and unlimited text per line
1) $50
2) $50
3) $50

For total of $249.98 per month

Is there a better way to configure this plan to reduce the cost?

Dear Customer Care Reps

Please follow policies so the next time I sell a customer a phone that requires $20 in texting or data charges you don't make me look shady when you tell the customer that since they don't have a smart phone you will go ahead and take it off for them a week later....and then when I call them back to tell them that they were misinformed and have to add the services back on they lose faith in at&t.

And at&t, if phones have certain requirements, why do your systems let your reps get around them so easily and do random sweeps months later to reinforce the policy. Atleast verizon system won't even let the customer use the phone without the requirement.

So ATT employees: Is anybody buying the NON-Google retarded Motorola Backflip?

So is anybody actually buying that retarded arse of a deformed phone that the Motorola Backflip is? If people knew 4 more -supposed- Android phones are coming to ATT, they'd be better off waiting.

Personally I think I'm going to wait to see what Google ends up having that will be available for ATTs 3G network over @ google.com/phone

ATT has proven they can't be trusted with Android phones.

seriously?

been getting customers calling in to exchange their bold, pure, tilt2 and even the impression for the moto backflip.

i think i might do a backflip myself trying to explain. i know our customers are smart & they aleady know about the 2strike policy (where you have the chance to switch to a diff phone, well, it still depends on what's available & what's comparable to their current device & the impression is NOT a smart phone) but please.

we don't even have the 9700 in full kit yet, let alone the backflip. ๐Ÿ˜‰

I want to unlock my iPhone and switch to TMobile

I was with TMobile for years and loved their service. When I got the iPhone, I switched to AT&T but haven't been happy with the service due to a bunch of dropped calls.
Now I learn that my bill would be cut in half for the same thing if I switch.
Unlimited calling, unlimited internet, and unlimited texting for two phones.
I think AT&T is a good company, but saving money is important nowadays.
I haven't checked but I don't think the ETF is that bad.
Thanks for your opinions and imput!

Traveling Question:

Going to Canada for 3 days/2 nights.

My GF has an iPhone and wants to be able to use it while up there.

International/roaming options for carriers is not my strong point, and I was wondering if anyone knew the best options while there - or what the cost would end up for just going and using while there.

Does anyone here possibly have a release date that they want to leak for the Xperia? Since I quit working for At&t ive really been out of the loop.

What is the process for selling an iPhone?

I want to use an upgrade on my account for the iPhone 3GS.

However, I want to sell the device (to a friend with ATT) and use that money towards the Nexus One.

I'm hearing things such as I have to contact Apple because a contract was signed with them or something. ๐Ÿคจ

Can someone tell me how that works?

Sure hope Verizon get's an iPhone.

"That same attrition, or churn, will actually start to improve quality on the AT&T network. For example, Sprint service right now is fantastic in many areas; they have lost 5-10 million users," said Gould.

android

a few months ago i had a thread that asked if people thought android was the future of phones. a lot of people said no, most in fact, just wondering if anybody has changed their minds. I've never owned an android phone, but i'm thinking about trying one out.

Getting around Data Plan for Smart Phones....

I have been told several variants of different answers on this topic depending on phone, live help, or in-store CS. Basically I have a contract that was put in place before the "all smart phones must have a data plan" was in place. If i get a BlackBerry off Ebay, stick my sim card in it and start using it - will I need to add a data plan (keep in mind I don't want it) and/or will ATT add it automatically? I've been told that as long as BB doesn't come from an ATT store/reseller and there is no upgrade to my contract I should be good. On the other hand they have said they will automatically add it.

Which is it?????

? about last bill when closing out service

I just spoke with ATT customer service, and was told that I will be charged the ENTIRE month of my last billing cycle even though I canceled service 2 days into my current billing cycle.

?SHOULDN'T? I only be billed for 2 days of service up til when I canceled?

I'm not rich!!! I shouldn't have to pay for service that isn't even currently turned on!

Please help.

AT&Ts Plans the same as Verizon in a way??

So i see that for non-smartphones AT&T offers unlimited data and texting for 30 a month which is on top of the voice plan too. Isn't that almost the same thing as Verizon who used to offer the connect plan to customers? Seems about the same to me. Are AT&Ts plans perhaps some way cheaper than Verizon??

AT&T will take $1B non-cash charge for health care

Cuts in employee and retiree benefits? Reduced health care availability? Elimination of prescription drug coverage? Increased expenses?

REALLY? Wow! Certainly, no one saw that coming?!?!?!

Let the ramifications of health care reform begin!
