Rate Plan Change Policy

Well, I was doing the usual required reading on CSP and this popped up:

In an effort to strengthen our subscriber base, help us grow the business, and bring us in line with our competitors, the Cingular rate change policy has been reshaped into a new policy that gives customers rate plan flexibility while promoting contract extensions

Dated March 9th, 2005... with one link that we can't access from behind company firewalls.

*sigh*

What has changed, and are we allowed to discuss it in a public forum?

V220 questions

My dad is looking at getting a V220 and i haven't heard much about it, wondering if anyone hear new whether it was worth the money or a moto paperweight, tried looking at the user reviews, but half of them say it sucks, and half of them love it, so it didnt really help any. . . . .

cingular MCC/MNC change on the west coast?

Just noticed that a phone that I use occasionally the MCC/MNC has evidently changed. In Washington (and I assume California and Nevada) cingular was using the MCC/MNC of 310-17(0). When I looked at my network selection the other day it had USA-41 which is the same as MCC/MNC 310-41(0) rather than formerly showing Pacific Bell Wireless (which was 310-17(0) Does this jive with what others have seen?

Coverage problems in DC

Could someone please explain why the network will not hand off to the Blue or ATT system.

My phone has to have literally no signal before it "searches" for the 1900mhz side in the DC area.https://www.phonescoop.com/carriers/foru m.php?fm=p&ff=4&fi=n#

Area Code Issues

Hi All & thanks in advance -

I'm a long time ATT customer, considering resigning with Gingular, and just hit my first real Piss-Me-off complaint đŸ‘ŋ .

Yesterday when using my phone, I started getting a "that number is not available please check the number and try again" message, for seeming EVERY number I tried. It lasted about 2 hours then went away.

Started again this morning I call tech help. After a LONG wait while she talked to the tech support desk, she finally says "you have to dial the area code with all your calls". Turns out any number with an area code works, no number (even locals & the other phone on the account)works without one đŸ‘ŋ .

Ummmh WHY ? Whats the deal ? I don't want to redo an address book with ...

New Policy

We need a new policy here at AWS and Cingular, that is Rez desk needs to be allowed to speak their mind to the cust. Would you other reps out there agree that if a cust was told in the right way that they would stop disputing their ETF, and wouldnt it make work so much more fun. 😈

Stupid Question from New Cingy Customer!!!

This is probably a dumb question, but I have just came to Cingular from Verizon, so please understand the limitations I am used to and help me out.

I just got the Nokia 6230, and I was very impressed with the bluetooth and infrared functionality. I noticed that I can send my contacts to the phone from my PDA via infrared. I was just wondering, does this cost any money to do this or is it cost free due to me transferring the data directly from one of my devices to my phone not using the Cingular network for the transfer??? Please help me out with this as I know VZW would have charged me for having this functionality.

Thanks
