I have been watching this forum and at&ts forum and when I look at the latest discussions I look and I always see the same name appear who doesn't know anything and this person acts like it knows the company like the back of his palm. I really don't care if your a rep or a previous rep but if you know the answer post it and if you don't keep your mouth shut because I'm sick of seeing these dumb answers which make no sense at all. Please for the love of god, if you ever go into a cingular store do not, I repeat DO NOT ask this question. I know that it is meant as a sarcastic joke when informed that in order to get the benifits of the merger you must migrate, but I hear it 20 times a day. you are not original. that phrase has become fingernails on a chalk board. I have nightmares about that phrase. It will not get you better customer serviceby asking this question.

Please understand that this merger involves merging 70000 employees, two huge billing systems, and 3 stand alone networks. it takes time to complete all this!

Its almost tragic that a person cant come here with a legitimate question and not have it turned into an argument. I asked a question about a Sim card yesterday and although several great reps gave me great info, several people chose to give me grief. For the record, I have yet to see any useful info posted by the ones who gave me grief so I just have to consider the source. Then the teacher had a bad experience and SOMEBODY turned it into an argument as he always does. There doesnt seem to be anything he doesnt know (in his eyes) about Cingular or ATTWS. It almost makes a person hesitant to post here. I am sure this post is gonna get me fired upon by many but I felt it was something that had to be said.

I finally had it. I called and told them to forget the whole thing. I was ready to pay my way out of my contracts (both Cingular & ATT). Well, I finally talked to someone who was more than willing to do what was needed.

I was able to return my V220 (piece of junk!), get my 90.75 credit, acquire my V551 for 149.99 with the rebate of 50.00.

I am happy, that is all I wanted.

I am going away to italy for 2 weeks this spring, and i wanted to know some more information about international roaming. I have nokia 6620 and a nokia 3100. What do i need to do to make calls internationally? do i need to call cingular and is if i can? how much does it cost? what gsm frequency do they use? and any other questions that may have slipped from my mind... any help is greatly appreciated.

I'm currently at Alltel, but I have been at Nextel ATT, Sprint, Cingular and back to Alltel .. but never T-Mobile im going to be going to college in Akron Ohio were coverage is good with all, but for some reason Cingular kinda scares me because they have to much power now and can do whatever they please ...

T-Mobile seems like a good bet with right priced phones should I go with T-Mobile or if not Alltel with what other carrier??

Lets say I file a claim and I have a nokia 6620. Can I request another phone that is cheaper than the phone that I already have? e.x.v551?

Just a heads up to everyone anytime you delete a feature and readd it or another similar feature (ie. removing text pay per use and adding text 200) please make sure the delete goes through the system before you add the new feature. That would save both us and the customers repeat calls 🙂
