I am an Intelligent Individual who works for an IN-DIRECT DEALER......

There are many things I would like to say in order to clear a few things up regarding the COR side of AT&T's so-called Empire.

I will refrain from cursing or wishing death upon you all, Instead I will bless you all with some of My Irish Good luck and Will.

In case you are not aware, AT&T does not wish to see the indirect dealer survive much longer.

My Pay-rate and Commission was just altered (AGAIN) due to AT&T telling my boss the new pay-rate for features and wireline.

Thank You very much AT&T,

I have been selling wireline since I was hired 2 years ago, and bought into everything you told me and trained me on. I was dedicated to helping other employees learn more and understand how to make more money.

Things have chan...

Something that REALLY irks me. A lot. A whole lot.

Why do in-store reps always tell customers to just call in to BEUC to get their activation fee's/upgrade fee's etc waived..?? Unless it's listed in ECPV, we're not supposed to do that..but it seems to happen a LOT. I mean, I know you guys work on commission, but it's a little bit rediculous, when a customer calls in upset about their bill, because a store rep told them they'd waive it (or tells them to call in and have it waived)..

On top of that.. they start asking questions like..

Why do I have insurance on my phone?
What's roadside assistance? I didnt ask for that!
Media net unlimited?! I didnt want media net on my phone.
The rep never told me I'd need a $30 PDA plan for this!

I get those SO often... And it's amazing - whe...

PDA plan

I just had to add another PDA plan ($30) to my account. $60 a month just for PDA plans-OUCH. Any plans in the future for some kind of discount when you have a couple of PDA/similiar plans on an account?

Right now I have 5 phones on the account that share minutes, a FAN/business discount that drops the main charge to $69 I think, unlimited shared messaging-$29/MO I think, and the $60 total for the 2 PDA plans. Bill is getting out of control.....$90 for data and messaging alone!

Roaming Plans for Canada and Mexico?

I saw that AT&T just added plans for Canada roaming for 19.99 and 39.99. What's the difference between them? And is there anything like this for Mexico? I had a customer that wanted to switch but spent a lot of time and Mexico and I didn't know what to offer beside the World Traveler package.

Thanks.

I work for a Authorized Retailer.

So I work in a small little town for at a at&t authorized retailer. Now I have been working here for over a year. Big chance I will be moving soon to a bigger city and state. What is the chance of me being able to work in a corporate store? I love the cell phone industry and I dont want to change, so anyone that works in a corporate store, whats the change of hiring someone who worked in a authorized retailer store?

Call Center Boredom

Anyone else out there in a call center right now? Sitting here bored, calls have slowed way down (as they normally do after about 10:20 at night...or even 9:30 on a friday).

Just curious... If so, what department?

I'm in the BEUC.

FINALLY!!!! Yay!

They are filling in the hole in the neighborhood with a brand new cell tower on the main road into the area where our home is.

Now maybe I will sign a new contract with ATT.

If only they had a phone we wanted.........

Blackberry Pearl 8120

I just came back to AT&T from T-Mobile. I have a Blackberry Pearl 8120. My question is if I go to the AT&T website and download the latest Blackberry software when it comes out in a few weeks, will that create any problems or put all the AT&T images on my phone?

5 GB Hard Cap - new for ATT.

Here you go. Heh. Was wondering how long until this happened.

Effective Sunday, August 31st; AT&T will be introducing a 5GB ‘Hard Cap’, where usage above 5GB will incur a charge of $0.00048KB.

Also our DataConnect portfolio will reduce to three price point ranges that will include two basic DataConnect plans ($20 10MB and $40 50MB), the already existing $60 5GB plan (which will now charge an overage of $.00048KB) and two DataConnect Pooled versions ($23 10MB and $44 50MB).

These changes will affect any new or existing customers who are provisioned to these new SOCs, whether during a new activation or a rate plan change.

Phone recommendations?

Hey guys, a friend of mine is with AT&T and is looking for a new phone. They asked my advice, but I don't have any experience with AT&T. The only requirement that they have is that it's a quad-band phone. Camera, bluetooth, etc is completely irrelevant. Just something that gets good reception, battery life, with the quad-band support. He travels every week, often to different countries around the world. He's also brain-dead when it comes to technology, so the simpler, the better. Thanks in advance.

3G Issues in Arlington VA

Can anyone confirm there is a UMTS issues in Arlington, VA? I complained about the iPhone 3G not have very good 3G speed and they stated there is a UMTS issue in this area since 7/16/08.

My issue: Fast speeds for 30 minutes or slow and then time-outs, mega latency, etc... Edge is VERY reliable.

Note: My 881U modem doesn't seem to have any issues in the same area. Other people are experiencing the same thing with the iPhone. Tech stated the 881U uses different 3G technology than the iPhone which doesn't make sense to me, but...

Is it the phone or is there really a network issue?

Thanks
Mark
