Home / Landline??

Several years ago cell phone companies had a home device that you put your cell phone into and you could use it and extensions as you would a normal land line phone. Is there anything like that out there now?

T-Mobile Blackberry 8700g ..........Excellent Phone

In all fairness since I had significant complaints about the customer service and the delay in obtaining my ordered phone I wanted to comment on the product once I received it from T-Mobile.
The phone eventually arrived, and without any request on my part, T-Mobile voluntarily waived the shipping charges and credited my firm's account with 200 free minutes. Obviously, my preference would have been to receive the phone in a timely manner, but T-Mobile has been very accommodating since the Blackberry has been delivered.
The phone is excellent. The coverage is phenomenal, and the Edge network is vastly superior to my older Blackberry. I have had no dropped calls in the Dallas area and the communication quality has been perfect. ...

Just to clarify...

As someone that worked as a CSR for TMobile for almost 5yrs I feel compelled to address some issues I have with some comments made about CSRs. I assume that most people are logical so I will try to address this to the logical thinking people. I understand that you may "feel" like you are talking to TMobile since you are talking to a representative of the company, but the person you are talking to is someone that is there to get a paycheck in an entry level postion. That doesn't mean they are stupid, uneducated or any of the other negative attributes customers love to throw around when they think they are better than someone else. As a CSR we have absolutely no reason to lie to you because we gain nothing personally from your situation to giv...

Quit Complaining Customers!!!

I have to start a new rant for all of us customer care reps and dealers (DIRECT ONLY) who are tired of these pissy customers and our pissy indirect dealers.
To start if the indirect dealers...no all of you are bad. The worst however is the mobile solution. I pray that for all of the customers that read this that you NEVER go to them. They only want to screw the customer and they only want their sales. I had a customer try to return 2 phones where they did a new activation and the mobile "problem" refused to let him return them for 3 solid days because "their printer was broke." What a bunch of hog wash!
Customers...oh dear customers...is our system perfect on billing. No. No one and no computer is 100% perfect 100% of the time. H...

Dealing With The Wireless Industry. Pt. II: The Sequel

๐Ÿ™‚ Happy 4th of July Everyone! My last post gave me some pretty good info so why not go deeper? Now once again I'm just looking for relevant info that could help.

My topic of today is Customer Service โ˜น๏ธ which is one of the number one problems people have to discuss on here or any forum for cell phones. Now I've heard the horror stories and bad store experiences people have had but do you guys think it the companies policies that cause sooo many complains and problems or is it really just the wrong people at the wrong time? ๐Ÿคจ

P.S. I know customer service is a sore spot for a few reps on here so lets not get to upset. We've all had a few bad ๐Ÿ‘ฟ customers.

Should I Switch to an SK3

Ok currently I have a Samsung T-809 and I won a Motorola Slvr...I was going to just sell the Slvr and keep the money and then the SK3 rolled out...now i'm deciding weather to sell BOTH The slvr and T-809 and buy a SK3 or just stick w/ my T-809?

The major thing i'm worried about is first the reception...I know the SK's havent been great w/ that but I dont think the T-809 is any better. Does anyone know how they compare?

Also will the increase the data price from $20?

Thanks, Nick

Turn off call waiting?

How can you disable call waiting all together? I know you can use a *70 on a per call basis but what if I don't want call waiting all together?

Joining the Team

So I'll be starting at a T-Mobile call center next week. I'm definately getting T-mo service, although I may still keep my sprint phone around as a back up. Anyway, I just wanted to say hello to all the T-mo reps and customers and everything. I do have one question, though. When I get my service, I want to get a PDA type phone, and I'm wondering which I should get. Should I get the Blackberry (and if so, which?) or should I go with the MDA or the Sidekick 3? Anyway, thanks.

SK3 Price on T-Mobile's site

Mwhahahah I'm SO getting one...http://t-mobile.com/shop/Phones/Compare .aspx?devices=7a083f08-7f33-4941-ba63-d690450 3dc71,154e9bca-a74c-4299-99eb-48a1159c922b,cc 3f6379-9240-4b0b-945a-270c7e941817

If that link doesn't work, just go to the tmo page, go to the phones, click 'view all phones on one page', and compare the sk2 to the sk3. Viola!

Goodbye Wireless Industry

At the beginning of this week I put in my two weeks notice. I am employed at a T-Mo direct store. Due to job-related factors, I had a serious nervous breakdown, and am leaving this industry.
I'm tired of dealing with problems I had nothing to do with. I'm tired of being subjected to verbal punishment due to no fault of my own. I'm tired of consumers wanting something NOW! I assume patience was a casualty of the internet. I'm tired of offering apologies and lowering myself just to calm the consumer down and blow over a miscommunication that happened earlier. I'm tired of being held to higher standard of behavior and ettiquite that isn't shared by some of our clientele. I'm tired of the expectation that we are all phone technicians/electricia...

Song

I looked at T-Mobile.com
To ease my troubled mind
I studied cell phones as they scrolled across the screen
Now I am a T-Mobile fiend

Signe on my T-Mobile and sund into a Zeta Zone
After all I knew I had to order a T-Mobile phone
I really don't mind some static now and then
As long as it will be my phone in the end

If I go crazy then will you still call me Zeta-Jones
If I'm alive and well, I'll always use T-Mobile cell phones
I'll keep it by my side and never switch again

Has anyone had any experience with T-mobile service in Cambria, CA? The coverage map looks like there is excellent coverage, but I am told by someone who was there yesterday that there was no coverage at all. Not even one bar.

Dealing With The Wireless Industry. Pt. I

๐Ÿ™‚ This is something new I wanted to start doing that will help me make more sense of this wireless industry. Feel free to give any "good, worthwhile" comments to this post.

Topic of today is the US and why it doesn't get the same great phones that get released in Europe.

I know this has been discussed several times (well mostly just argued) but it makes me ๐Ÿ˜• wonder with all the freedoms and perks we Americans have in this country why cant we get some of these great phones without having to order from a third party dealer or from the internet.(Shout Out to Ebay ๐Ÿ˜‰ ) It makes no sense that the World's Most Powerful Country is behind the times on one of the fastest growing consumer products that almost every one uses.

Please g...
