incoming international SMS not working from Japan to TMobile
basically, SMS messages from Softbank Japan (aka Vodafone) to T-Mobile users are NOT going through, most of the time, or show up 1-2 weeks later.
I know this because I have tested my Softbank Japan phone against my friends and family back in the states. Half of them are on AT&T, and half are on T-Mobile, plus a handful of Sprint and Verizon buddies, too. And, I also have both T-Mobile and AT&T 3G 2100mHz phones that are working here, so I can test my Softbank Japan phone against my two roaming American phones.
My Softbank phone can get SMS sent from T-Mobile, AT...

Blackberry ?
I have a Dash and downloaded WM 6.0, and love that service, but I live in a rural area and need a UMA capable phone to get service. Hopefully I can download a program so that the Blackberry Curve can do the same thing.
Help, anyone?
unlocked 3G phone on T-Mobile
1. Will the 3G capability of this phone possibly work on T-Mobile's network when they get 3G? If you don't know, why don't you? Should I wait until T-Mobile gets 3G before buying a 3G phone to make sure it'll work?
2. What features and services would or wouldn't work with an unlocked AT&T phone?
3. Is there anything that I should know before activating an unlocked AT&T phone on T-Mobile's network?
Again, any answers would be awesome.
What Gives With T-Mobile and WCDMA
"T-Mobile spent $4.2 billion to acquire 120 licenses in the 1700 MHz band, and reportedly offered the federal government an additional $50 million to move off of that spectrum sooner rather than later."
As some of you may recall, WCDMA is being implemented by AT&T in the 850MHz and 1900MHz bands. Should T-Mobile go to the 1700Mhz band, there will be a need for a different telephone than those used by AT&T customers in order to access TM's WCDMA. I am wondering if any company will fabricate such telephones given that TM i...

Verizon customer considering a switch.
i want to be able to tether the curve to my desktop at home with has no internet currently and use the internet via the curve to do simple stuff like sending e-mails and web surfing.
I'm assuming that I'll have a t-mobile hotspot username and password to access hotspots at starbucks locations, so does that mean I'll be able to use my Playstation Portable to access the internet?

T-Mobile 3G?
Rebates
I am using the NEW handset on my OLD line. Not a problem, right? I made sure that the form said ACCOUNT and not LINE. The form actually says that "the handset must be used at least once on your t-mobile account prior to validation". It says ACCOUNT, not NEWLY ACTIVATED LINE. So, I never used the phone on the new line.
I called, explained the situation, the gal filed a new claim and told me that it will be another 4-6 weeks. She didn't seem to really understand the situation so as soon as we hung up, I called T-Mobile and they called rebates. They then told me that it was a good thing that...
