texting phones

what texting phones (keyboard, etc) does T-Mobile have available that have good memory, battery life, and that aren't massive? I also don't want something that's insanely expensive too. I know the two sidekicks are coming out but that seems to be the only option. The only other option would be going over to VZW and getting the EnV but I really don't want to leave T-Mobile because of my plan. 😢

incoming international SMS not working from Japan to TMobile

I need tier 3 help, and spent 2 hours calling tmobile tech support from Japan on my dime, and after finally being told i was being forwarded to tier 3, i got disconnected.

basically, SMS messages from Softbank Japan (aka Vodafone) to T-Mobile users are NOT going through, most of the time, or show up 1-2 weeks later.

I know this because I have tested my Softbank Japan phone against my friends and family back in the states. Half of them are on AT&T, and half are on T-Mobile, plus a handful of Sprint and Verizon buddies, too. And, I also have both T-Mobile and AT&T 3G 2100mHz phones that are working here, so I can test my Softbank Japan phone against my two roaming American phones.

My Softbank phone can get SMS sent from T-Mobile, AT...

Just went to the T-Mobile website...
Why the hell do you guys have so many freaking colors of BlackBerry Pearls? That gold one is gaudy. 😕

Gotta say though, that blue one looks pretty nice!

Problem with my phone...

i have a 6133 and a rizr with tmobile. the only thing im not liking about the rizr is that it slows down more than a smart phone does if you do something too fast. but the nokia 6133 is just a piece of crap. half the time i cant make calls because it says service not available but acording to tmobiles website im in a 5 bar coverage area. also sometimes it will have a huge delay in receiving text messages and sometimes it wont send or receive picture messages. is it just a bad phone or what? ive had 4 6133's and they have all done it. BUT i'm thinking of adding another line to my account and buying a new phone and i was wondering if there might be anyway one of the reps would give me something to replace the 6133 since im going to start payin...

Blackberry ?

Does anyone know if you can buy an application for a Blackberry that reads text messages into a bluetooth headset?

I have a Dash and downloaded WM 6.0, and love that service, but I live in a rural area and need a UMA capable phone to get service. Hopefully I can download a program so that the Blackberry Curve can do the same thing.

Help, anyone?

unlocked 3G phone on T-Mobile

I'm on T-Mobile and thinking of getting an unlocked Nokia 6555. (The silver one looks neato). Before I spend that much money, however, there's a few things I'd like to know. Any answers would be greatly appreciated.

1. Will the 3G capability of this phone possibly work on T-Mobile's network when they get 3G? If you don't know, why don't you? Should I wait until T-Mobile gets 3G before buying a 3G phone to make sure it'll work?

2. What features and services would or wouldn't work with an unlocked AT&T phone?

3. Is there anything that I should know before activating an unlocked AT&T phone on T-Mobile's network?

Again, any answers would be awesome.

What Gives With T-Mobile and WCDMA

Does anyone know which band TM is going to use for WCDMA access? The following sentence, from an article excerp found in the home page of phonescoop, makes me a bit uneasy about T-Mobile's plans for deploying WCDMA:
"T-Mobile spent $4.2 billion to acquire 120 licenses in the 1700 MHz band, and reportedly offered the federal government an additional $50 million to move off of that spectrum sooner rather than later."

As some of you may recall, WCDMA is being implemented by AT&T in the 850MHz and 1900MHz bands. Should T-Mobile go to the 1700Mhz band, there will be a need for a different telephone than those used by AT&T customers in order to access TM's WCDMA. I am wondering if any company will fabricate such telephones given that TM i...

Dash problem

I recently had a Pearl go bad. T-Mobile offered a replacement of another Pearl or the Dash. I took the Dash even though the email play would now cost ten dollars more per month. However, when I put the Dash on "Vibrate Mode" and then take it off, all of the audible notifications work EXCEPT the Calendar function. It stays on vibrate. The only way to fix it is to do a hard reset which forces me to reset up my email. Pain in the butt. T-Mobile tech support said that is a known problem with the Dash and there is nothing they can do about it! The company refused to allow me to go back to the Pearl by sending back their Dash. They forced me to pay another $100. for a new Pearl. So now I have a Dash I will not use.
Does anyone know a way to fix t...

Verizon customer considering a switch.

hello all. I'm currently with verizon with their lowest plan with text, phone insurance. etc. Bill comes out to about 50-60 bucks a month. i wouldn't complain if i had been getting the service that they were hailed for. anyways with the release of the curve and hotspot @home I'm really tempted to switch.

i want to be able to tether the curve to my desktop at home with has no internet currently and use the internet via the curve to do simple stuff like sending e-mails and web surfing.

I'm assuming that I'll have a t-mobile hotspot username and password to access hotspots at starbucks locations, so does that mean I'll be able to use my Playstation Portable to access the internet?

Finally i was wondering if there was a way i could ge...

so price on the curve

I hate the way contracts works. I wish I could pay for upgrade pricing for the curve but would just have to settle for $50 off that sucks. I wish there was a way to get it cheaper ya know thru tmo. I love the pearl but I just hate the headset jack not being a 3.5 jack. I already returned one headset cause it ate up my headset cause of a defeect hopefully this new one won't do it. sorry random but just bored

T-Mobile 3G?

After the last bandwith auction, there was a lot of publicity about T-Mobile rolling out 3G services in 2007. We are now more than halfway through the year, and I haven't heard a word in months (years?), no new 3G-enabled phones or any other news. Does anybody have a sense of whether this is really coming in our lifetimes?

Rebates

I was denied a rebate for a new activation saying "Invalid activation date for rebate offer". There's no doubt that I qualify for the rebate, but...

I am using the NEW handset on my OLD line. Not a problem, right? I made sure that the form said ACCOUNT and not LINE. The form actually says that "the handset must be used at least once on your t-mobile account prior to validation". It says ACCOUNT, not NEWLY ACTIVATED LINE. So, I never used the phone on the new line.

I called, explained the situation, the gal filed a new claim and told me that it will be another 4-6 weeks. She didn't seem to really understand the situation so as soon as we hung up, I called T-Mobile and they called rebates. They then told me that it was a good thing that...

Hopefully an easy question...

My wife (Mrs. Lapdog) uses TMO on a fam plan with one daughter. Can I E-Bay a Pearl, switch her sim to the Pearl and add the $9.99 BBY email only?
