A Noob Q so scary....

So after a long and rocky relationship with Sprint, I had a brief stint with MetroPCS (not as bad as people say it is) and now on my way to T-Mo (after seriously considering Amp'd; for the no contract Hybrid plan, not for customer service.. I barely call in anyways).

My Q is this: can you swap out the SIM card inbetween phones and not be charged obscene amounts of cash? I want to get one of the free phones and later on get a unlocked GSM phone. Will there be any problems? Will TMO try to extend my contract, charge extra fees, etc?

It's great to be back!!!

For anyone that is thinking of leaving T-Mobile read on....just wanted to say that I am back with T-Mobile. I did my tour of carrier hopping and decided T-Mobile is still my best fit. I left about 3 weeks ago and went to Sprint for only 3 days...What a bad experience that was!! Then I jumped to Verizon for a week and a half and they were only soso in my opinion. Finally went to Cingular/ATT and they have such crappy CS. The wait times are ridiculous for all of them. T-Mobile CS still rocks as far as wait time goes. I am back on my original plan of 1500 mins unlimited N/W. I may switch to my faves 1000 though. Not sure yet. Or, I just may add on Unlimited mob to mob for 6.99. Have to wait and see. Just happy to be back!

Should I Switch to T-Mobile?

I have Verizon now but really want to purchase the Blackberry Pearl, which only Cingular and T-Mobile offer. Just wondering from you guys how the service and phone are? Is it worth switching? And anything other info you think would help me choose..

Thanks in advance 🙂

Working for T-mobile Indirect

I just wanted to know alittle bit about the way they treat there indirect agents. We were with Cingular, (who treats there indirect like crap) and they would just ignore our requests, late on phone orders, many more. T-mobile is telling us they want us to be a main contributer to the indirect market in the phila market. They are giving us a bunch of spifs. But i was really wondering what we should expect from tmobile.

Thanks for your answers in advance, its much appericiated.

T-Mobile USA reports 1st qt 2007 earnings.

I am starting to be impressed with T-mobile USA’s recent results as now they have 26.02 million customers as they reported in the first quarter 2007 numbers of 980k of net new adds with a post pay churn of 1.9%, ARPU of $52, Data ARPU of $7.50, because of continued success with its “my faves” plans. They continue to do well and it seems like they only have further room for growth as they acquired some major spectrum in the AWS and they will come out with HSDPA very soon, but most importantly improving their coverage and capacity areas. They did, however, get 980k net new customers in first quarter 2007, which was down last year from 1.04 million net new subscribers, which is not a bad drop of about 60k subscribers. Moreover, they keep on ex...

Unlocking the sim on a phone opens it to work with other carriers sims but does it unlock anything else? How can the programs that the carriers block or lockout be opened up?

porting from Cingular

Hopefully some of you T-Mo experts might be able to help.

My husband's Cingular plan expires next week. I want to port it to a T-mo prepaid account. I'm planning to buy a sim card myself; I already have an unlocked GSM phone. I'd also like the account to be in my name (if prepaid accounts are registered by names at all).

Is all this possible and would I need to go to a store or can I call T-mo customer service?

Thanks in advance for your advice.

Upgrade

I'm confused.
I’m coming up on the 11th month of my contract so I went to a retail store and the rep told me that "something" happened on my account 9 months ago. He asked if I changed numbers, switched plans and/or was suspended. No to all; I have been a customer since 2004 w/ the same rate plan. I switched numbers almost three years ago when I moved. I'm set up w/ easy pay and have never been suspended. He said it that I could upgrade on Thursday, (my 11th month) but I would have to speak w/ cust care. He did say the upgrade price on a nokia 6133 would be $79.

So I called cust care and they didn’t see anything on my account from 9 months ago. They said I wouldn't be eligible for upgrade until 6/10 (my 12th month) and the price f...

New to T-Mobile and the Dash!!

Where do I start! 😁 I've had a busy weekend! (Or should I say "week" since Tuesday-1st when I bought it!)

1st on Friday I upgraded my Dash from Windows 5 to 6...looks and works great! Love the newer/updated features, especially the e-mail's. I had a little trouble getting the upgrade to patch through, so I called T-Mobile and spoke to a fantastic tech. Do you know that guy stayed on the phone with me for an hour and a half till we got it running right? 1st I get impressed with the reps in the store...so impressed, that I wrote a letter to the district manager about how great all the store reps were! Never got service like that at VZW! Then I had the experience on Friday with the tech department... outstanding!! I got the tech's m...

Pros/Cons of working for T-Mobile?

I have a job interview coming up on Monday for a part time sales rep position & I was wondering if I could get opinions from those who are already employed by T-Mobile. I've worked in cellular for many years (also a GSM carrier) & really hope to make the switch to T-Mobile, but I'm just a tad apprehensive since I have been with my current company for so long. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you for your time.

Thinking of porting back to T-Mobile but unsure....

Ok so here is my predicament. I ported out of T- Mobile about a week ago. Went to Sprint - what a mistake that was. Currently trying Verizon and am on a 30 day Free Trial. I lost a lot of mins went from 1500 mins to 900 mins. paying about the same in monthly. Coverage of course is better. Customer Service is NOT 24 hours like T-Mobile. Most of the people I talk to are on T-Mobile. Phones are not as good wiht T-Mobile as a pose to Verizon (some opinion there and some fact). If I come back I might get the 6.99 unlimited mob to mob because Verizon nd Sprint had it included in there plan. T-Mobile does not. ITs weird, it just doesnt seem right. I thought I would love Verizon and so far no. Here isa nother predicament. I can get corp discount pri...
