I have the V710 and the Jabra 250 BT headset. They work great together, but I can not get the V710 to recognize the advanced handsfree features of the Jabra 250 (Call Waiting / Hold, etc.). It just hangs up on the person with call waiting or shuts off instead of giving my the 2 beeps. Is this the fault of the much talked about poor BT implementation on this phone, or can the Motorola BT headsets handle all these advanced functions?

Hey, I currently have a v400 and Cingular wireless is offering me a phone upgrade options, and 1 of the options is the v551 for $49.99 (I'm a "VIP Customer" 🙄 )

Anyways, I was wondering if this is a good idea, b/c I've read many different reviews for the v551, with people strongly for it and against it.

I'm very interested in it b/c of the bluetooth and video capture.

If anyone has had the v400 and upgraded to the v551, please let me know your feelings about the 2 phones, and the major differences.

Does any 1 know how to unlock ringtones from a motorola phone like the v505 and the v551. I am wondering this because I need to transfer them to my new phone and I don't want to buy them again so if I get them unlocked I can transfer them easily.

Is there a way to enlarge the pic i put for a picture id on my v551? Its so small now an was just wondering if theres a way to make it larger or if im just stuck with the small pic.

Does test mode data tell you what antenna you are on for a cdma v60? The initial screen is a bunch of alpha numerics and I can pick out the SID but is there an identifier for the antenna in use?

HandsetManager is really perfect for Motorola phones!
You can backup/sync/edit phonebook,sync calendar with outlook/outlook express, create/edit polyphonic ringer or mp3 music,file transfer management...etc. I think it is just excellent for Motorola phones, even better than the original PC tool.
There are several models from Handset Manager for Motorola: MA8860c, MA8870, MA700, MA-8882,and MA8862c...if you own a Motorola phone, Handset Manager is the tool that you must have! 😁

Looking for a trade of equal value. Preferably Treo 600/650 or Siemens S66.

Does anyone know when a new headset is coming out under Motorola for bluttooth headsets? I know the newest ones I have seen coming out are the HS8220's I believe with different colours......heard rumours that there was a headset with caller id coming sometime.....??

Guys, I just got aT720, and the 6 digit security code is not the usual 000000. Anyone know how/where I can retrieve the current code? The phone won't activate if I can't reset it. thanks

i would love if this phone had a megapixel camera on it that would be the only thing i would change. Is there any word or rumors about them updating the phone in like 6 months.

I have paired the v710 (Verizon) and the Lexus.

It mutes the radio and auto answers the phone. OK...great so far.

I have heard that you can load the phone numbers one at a time.

Is this possible and how?

If it is not possible, how do you put phone numbers in the phone system on the Lexus?

I just can't figure it out. I am willing to manually put in one number and name at a time, but cannot figure out how????

Can anyone help me with text messaging on the v551. I recently upgraded my T720 for the newer V551. However, I cannot figure out how to use the text messaging return receipt feature on this phone. It worked perfectly fine with my older phone. I hate to downgrade and go back to my old phone, but this feature is important to me. Any suggestion you might have would be appreciated. Please help.

a wonder if somebody cant help me whit a little problem motorola have lock some multimed contens and a whana unlock some ones and lock others using cable usb?

I tried to have my V-710 have the VZW banner removed by putting in a generic prl, however the tech who tried it said that Moto has a lock on the system, and that they can't do it. When I talked to moto they said that it was though VZW. What can I do?

Is there a way to change the font size on a 710.

Does anyone know how to erase the alarms set on this phone? Also how can you view what time the alarm is set for? Thx.
