Motorola KRZR K1m

I just got my K1m yesterday 🙂 and I'm having a bit of trouble with getting the sounds the way I like. The most annoying is the missed call alert.

So my phone rings, the caller decides to end the call before I pick it up, and then there is this nasty loud beep. Can I change it or at least make it quieter!?! 😡

I'm rather surprised that it's not very easy to change many of the sounds. Is it just me or is this a problem for others as well? I went through the entire manual and it didn't tell me anything more than I could have figured out from the menus alone (worthless).

Does anyone know how to change the missed call tone/alert? In sound settings, I can only change the alert for txt, pix, and voice messages.

Back then when I first bought the lg8100, I was able to get some cool features like lazers and I was able to fly. Can anybody confirm if Verizon was able to install the time traveling and the tele-transportation features on this phone? 🤣

I thought this might help with what features are on the KRZR and what abilities it has. Pretty sweet phone. I can't wait to get one to play with because I'm thinking about buying one.

I currently have a Samsung SCH-a670 which has been a good phone. I think Verizon has the best service but unfortuntely in my apartment (NYC on 24th Street between 1st and 2nd Avenue), I am constantly dropping calls and only getting 0-2 bars.

I am concerned about the reception of the KRZR. Any thoughts on whether it might be the same, better or worse than the Samsung?
Should I try Cingular?

Hello there, looking for some feedback here. I am due for an upgrade and am a bit torn between getting the new Krzr or the Razr. The wife has the Razr already and she does not have any problems with it. I will be using it only as a cell phone, to make and receive calls and texting. I already have an Ipod and a digital camera so while I may download a song or two, that's not the thing that will get me to choose one over the other. I do like the Krzr but the fingerprint issue would probably drive me crazy. Anyone out there currently have the Razr and are really unhappy with it? If so why? Any feedback would be helpful. I guess my question is, does the Razr serve it's main function as a cell phone well?

I bought my KRZR two weeks ago, but the glass face plate has already been cracked by a misbehaving toddler. Does anyone know where I can get a replacement face plate for this phone? PLEASE HELP.

whats the difference between the 4.99 and 5.99 insurance plans? do you have to pay the 50 dollar deductible for the 5.99 plan or only for the 4.99? I paid for the 5.99 but if thers no advantage im thinking of switching down and saving a few bucks

Does anyone know how to set up the MP3 player to work with the buttons on the outside? I transferred music to the memory card and it doesnt work. I got to my music and play all, and it says music is not available...is there a step I need to do before this to recognize music on the card? Thanks!!

Quick question...

When you log onto Moto's online store, and select phones without service, you can purchase "older" phones without a carrier and activate it on your network of choice (provided it is the same technology as the network you want to use it on) - example: Motorola e815 - if I buy this phone from Moto at 249.00, I will be able to activate on VZW and NOT sign a contract, and it will NOT have the dreaded VZW UI...

Therefore - if that is true, and I purchase the Krzr K1m direct from Moto (for 349.00) and activate it on VZW, does this mean it too will not have the dreaded UI?

(Rhetorical question) Does this mean to all of us who hate the Verizon UI now have to pay a higher price to get something that works as it was intende...

some of the CONs you guys are posting are because of the verizon UI, for example:

slow response to buttons
not being able to start music from outside buttons

etc...

there are other versions of the phone out there. the alltel one which i have (with all of these things enabled because of the moto ui), the sprint one coming soon, and other cdma carriers testing it such as USCC.

Is there a fast way to advance the calendar forward or back the e815 allowed you to page between months by hitting # or * not this K1

WOW.. got the KRZR, love da sleenkness and feel of the phone, CAN'T STAND the User Interface. As good as the coverage area is for Verizon, their customer service and lack of listening to what customers want will make people switch to other networks.

I got the KRAZR and love the phone BUT I NEED to find a way to switch the user-interface to the original motorola version. How can I do this? I know Alltell sells a KRZR K1M but how can I make that work on the Verizon network? Is there a way to just get the phone reprogrammed? Please someone help me...

😕 I am very lost...could someone possibly take a second out to explain to me how to transfer music from my pc to my krzr, so that i can actually use the mp3 player. I have a usb cable, I have went as far as the SYNC MUSIC screen, and then on my pc it asking for me to find a driver that support my new installed hardware....but I don't know how to!...so help me out guys...you guys are great with feedback!
