Motorola KRZR K1m

I just got a Krzrk1m from verizon and I want the external lcd screen to stay on all the time I want to be able to be able to download ringtones without going verizon. I would also like to make my ringtones.Does anybody have any suggestions.

i bought music through Vcast, but i cant seem to find a way to use it as my ringtone! any help?

I heard that verizon will be discontinuing this phone. Does anyone know if it will be replaced by another one like the k3m. I know the razr 2 is coming out.

How and where do you go (Sprint) into he menu to activate the MP3 player?

Okay so i just got a Motorola KRZR Km1 and I'm trying to figure out how to put music on it. I bought a micro SD card and i have an adapter and everything. i hooked up the card to the computer and added songs (making sure they were Mp3 format). then i put the card back into the phone. a lot of these forums say to go to a "All My Music" folder or tab or something, but i cant find this anywhere. i went to Settings, Memory, Card Memory, then My Music and it was empty. I'm not sure if it's different because i have verizon or if I'm doing something wrong (wrong song format, wrong type of folder, etc). i read a bunch of sites and the manual, neither of which mentions this. SOMEONE HELP MEEEE!!

LIKE THE RAZR THE FRONT LCD SCREEN IS BLOCKED WITH THE VERIZON WIRELESS BANNER! IS IT THE SAME FOR THE K1M????? ALSO CAN YOU SET A WALLPAPER FOR THE FRONT LCD????

😁 Alltel Has Discontinued The Motorla Krzr K1m effective today. Alltel has also discontinued the V3m the other day and replaced it with a low end same price razr the V3a. All of these changes are preparations for the totally redesigned Razr 2 V9m debuting in stores near you Early September. With a price range of it's competitors $250-$300!

Just picked up a brand new KRAZR today but cannot get it to allow me to email even the smallest .mid tones to it like I did for years on my V3C. Phone is running 24.1_00.25.0C

I use [email protected] to email the .mid, I receive it as a .mid, I save it to My Sounds, but it never shows up in Ringtones and it never gives me the option in My Sounds to use it as a Ringtone.

I sent about 10 .mid's over to the phone today, all are 1kb or less in size, all are saved in My Sounds, yet none of them appear in Ringtones or are an option when changing Ringtone settings. They are not being converted over to .qcf files. They are good old, tiny .mid's.

I've had a K1m for almost a year. It's been flawless. I don't think I've ever dropped a call due to signal since I got this phone.

I did almost wreck my car yesterday, trying to put it on mute while the speaker phone was engaged, as I had to go into the options menu while I was driving.

I can't take the VZW UI any more, and the value they have subtracted from this phone is driving me nuts. (Plus I have a boatload of stuff I want to transfer over via BT from my old Cingular V600).

I was wondering if this phone has alert settings like my Moto 325, for example if I have a missed call, new voice mail, or new text message that I don't get right away I can set it to beep or vibrate at a specified interval. Can the Krzr do that?

Also, how is the reception and call quality on this phone in fringe areas? I am trying to decide between this and the Moto w385.

I've had this phone about 7 months and just started to notice issues with the inside screen while texting. It will freeze and i see the verizon banner go grainy and what appears to be a second grainy banner. Any help or suggestions would be helpful.

I updated to the latest version of Motorola Phone Tools and I can't get it to recognize my new KRZR. The computer finds the phone and lists it as an unnkown device in the device manager with the label "Motorola K1m/L7c". When I run phone tools, it looks for it, but doesn't find it.
Does anyone have a fix for this? Did Motorola just not update the drivers yet?

I set my alarm and the volume is all the way up its tone is set to alert for the alarm and it vibrates? i have 30 days to try it do i need to just get another phone? This is with VZW by the way

Has anyone used this phone to sync to Verizon's wireless sync program? How did the phone sync? Does this phone have a field in the contacts to store an address?

I have been with Sprint for over 5 years now and have had the same phone also = a sanyo, and I love the phone, esp the Speaker phone

But now I'm thinking of upgrading phones and I see all this Hype about the Krzr, and I'm wondering if its as good as you all say ??, and also is there a newer version coming out anytime soon ??

I apologize in advance if this was already discussed. I am switching from VZW to Sprint. How do the KRZRs compare from opposing providers? I know there has to be some differences due to the lame slow VZW software vs. the original Moto software on Sprints.

hey all-
i purchased a headphone adapter (mini usb to 3.5mm) and it's not woking with my krzr. i have upgraded the software in my phone, and the phone recognizes the adapter when pluged in, but has no sound. tried my razr style headphones, and they work fine. kinda weird. any ideas?

Has anyone tried sync'ing this phone with Lotus Notes? I'm looking for a phone (other than a Blackberry or Palm) that can sync calendar and contacts. I have Verizon service and am running Lotus Notes v7.0.2. Thanks.

On my first KRZR, after 1 day, the speaker in the headset somehow got loose or something because I could barely hear anyone but, if I put my ear up on the outside of the phone, I could hear fine. Anyway, I swapped it out for a new one which worked great until recently because it's now having the same issue. Anyone else seen this problem?

I am looking for a software for Motorola K1 that will help in blocking or listing some callers in a block list. Currently, there is a functionality called "restrict calls" but it is not as practical as a software that will give you freedom to choose who is blocked.

Do anyone know a software that will do this job...?
