VCAST Problem and Solution.

1. VCast seems to fail every 200-300 GB of copying.

Solution, copy 100GB, pull SD card, insert SD card into reader copy all songs to a separate folder on your PC. (If VCAST hangs in the middle of a copy operation follow the above steps but delete the offending song.) Reformat SD card, insert into K1m turn phone off and on then repeat by loading another 200-300gb to card. When done copy all the files stored on the PC back to the SD card via the card reader. They phone will take quite awhile to find them all. Any file that appears corrupted or will not copy delete off SD card and if necessary reload all other files back to the SD Card.

I'm eligible to upgrade my phone in April and I saw that the LG VX8600 is getting a follow up called the 8700 "Shine". I really like the size of the KRZR 1M, so I'm wondering if there is a follow up to it thats going to come out in the next few months?

If you google KRZR 3 you can find a GSM version of the new KRZR. It has a bigger external screen and does away with the fingerprint prone finish. However, I haven't read anything about a Verizon CDMA version......

Anyone know anything?

I have searched these forums and can't find a straight forward answer. Anyway, I'm interested in buying either a Samsung 610 or Moto Krzr K1M from Sprint. Anyway, does the KRZR support headphones? Do I need an adapter? What exactly would I need to listen to the MP3 player through headphones? Should I even buy this phone or the 610? Thanks

Edit: Also, can I personalize ringtones for certain callers? I mean, can I set one ringtone for caller A and a different ringtone for caller B?

It is a nicely done web page to help you out us and stick it to Verizon.

his Step 12 can be done easier by doing this:
instead of adding to shared/audio I went directly to the shared/ringtone and my ringtone was right there waiting for me when I rebooted

When you find your 30second song clip ( i used a memory card it was easier to find) on the left hand side, select it and hit copy. this will make a copy right into your ringtone folder. 🙂

Which do you prefer? As for me, I prefer the KRZR.

OK, I'm going to be upgrading a line soon and I don't care about mp3's, ringtones, V-cast, games etc. ALL I care about is RECEPTION and CALL QUALITY in a slim phone. I currently have 2 V3Cs on my account and they are good but I would like a little more battery life so I'm considering the KRAZR, I am going to wait until mid-January to see if the price dropps any. A slim, pocketable phone is a must.


I would like to hear some real world experience with the KRZR. I would also like to hear other recommendations that fit the above criteria.

ok so maybe its a dumb question but the manual is just as dumb as me! haha... i have a krzr k1m through us cellular. i was wondering the steps on how to get music on my phone. do i have to buy or download a certain program? i have wmp. also.. what kinda memory card is good for the phone? anywhere i could get it cheap?

The KRZR (at least the Verizon one, anyway) only holds 20MB of Internal memory. Thank goodness for 1gig Micro SD cards!

I tried a search and I see some people say turn off the Screensaver to conserve battery, but my screensaver option only changes the wallpaper on the display. I'm confused between the screensaver like on my computer and this one. Am I missing something here? What is the function of the screensaver on this phone, or how does changing the background of the display save your screen? I don't get it...

I took back my first KRZR (verizon) that I got b/c the battery lasted 24 hrs with moderate use. Also when charging it didn't display "charge Complete" like every other phone I had ever saw. The guy at the store thought it was a defect so they took it back and gave me a new one. Same thing happened. This battery is f*cking awful? Does anyones phone display charge complete?

I also cannot get this thing to connect to the computer. I have MPT which recognizes the phone and did my data transfer. But when I try to use WMP 10 I get a pop up that ask me to install a disk with the driver or select it from a list. I downloaded Verizon VCast software and the last to that installs is the driver and the fix for it. Yet this window still pops up. Someo...

DO ANYONE NO HOW TO BUT MUSIC VIDEO ON THE KRZR OR MAKE THE MP3 MUSIC AS A RINGTONE?

Hey I am having a problem with my krzr and i was wondering if anyone else had the same problem. Whenever I hang up from a call and close the phone the backlight will stay on then go off but then it will come back on again without me doing anything. It eventually goes off but it's kind of annoying...any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

I want to know whether my text/pic/video message has been viewed by the person i sent it to. I've noticed boxes next to the messages in the "sent messages" list. They either have a check mark or a green arrow pointing diagonally up. I figured the green arrow signified that the message hadn't been viewed yet. WRONG!!! So, to me, the green arrow and the check mark mean the same.

PLEASE HELP!!!!!

Has anyone else noticed volume 1 is loud.. and going to the highest volume makes little difference?

and also Is verizon recalling this phone for software problems or do they have a firmware update?
