Motorola KRZR K1m

Got mine a week ago and LOVE THIS PHONE. Great looks, great earpiece volume, great reception, great battery life. Haven't liked a Moto phone since my V8160/VADR.

When I charge it with the included charger, the display shows 'Battery Charging'. It will never say 'Battery Charged' or 'Charge Complete' even if it is plugged in for 8 hours. If I open and close the phone after a few hours, it flashes the Verizon logo and then shows that the charge was completed. I power down before charging.

Anyone else having this problem?
I would exchange it but I surely dont want 'dem rattly side buttons. Maybe they'll fix it in a firmware upgrade (mine is 24.1_00.25.0C).

i charged my krzr all night last night but when i looked at it this morning it said "battery charging" instead of "charging complete." the phone does now have a full charge but is this normal to not say charging complete on the krzr? its a sprint krzr by the way....

the krzr speaker is lounder wen u here it then the chococlate.. and i from 1 to 10 im going to give the Krzr a 10 😁

I won a Verizon KRZR at a Verizon event but I use Sprint for my personal carrier. Is there a way I can convert the Verizon KRZR to work on the Sprint network?

I am trying to find a way to send a 20MB data file that I transferred from my laptop onto the 2GB micro SD card that fits in my KRZR.

The KRZR does not seem to recognize files that are not it's own and won't recognize it.

Anybody got a workaround?

I have unlimited data transfer and I am on Cingular network.

Does anyone know why it is incompatible to use the ringer ID function for you contacts when the call vibrate feature is on? I'm pretty sure I have the latest software and I was just wondering if anyone knew how to fix this dilemma or if you've heard rumor of a software update? I would just like to be able to have my caller id ringtone and call vibrate work simultaneously, is that so much to ask?

2 days ago i got the KRZR. on my motorola L6 i can change what i want the 2 soft keys to be. on the KRZR i can't do that. so just because of that i'm thinking about getting the RIZR. on the KRZR the buttons are opposite then what they are on my L6 & it's very bothersome. i'm used to the select button on the right & on the KRZR it's on the left.other than that i like the phone. can the soft keys on the RIZR be changed to what you want or is it like the KRZR ?
ANY OPINIONS GREATLY APPRECIATED & NEEDED

I know I've seen album art on songs that my brother has downloaded from vcast on his krzr but is there anyway to add them to songs that are added to the sdcard that are not from vcast?

i was using a transflash card in my v710 and installed it in my krzr. what i would like to know is why my krzr will not recognize any of the files that were already on my card. videos were in 3gp format, which was required to play on the 710 and i also had mp3s on the card too but they don't show up anywhere on my krzr. am i suppose to convert these files to something else? can anybody help me know what i'm doing wrong? i'd appreciate it.

I noticed my battery is working fine now. I posted a few days ago whining about the battery life, but after one day of a good amount of use and on standby all night I'm still at 3 full bars on the indicator! This is way better than what I was getting after the first couple of days. I think it may be that it takes a couple a few charging cycles before it kicks in.


Now I have one other problem. I cannot remove the text message envelope off of the display. It was there when I first got the phone and hasn't gone away since. I tried deleting a message, sending a new message and then delete, called text support for their help and it still won't go away. Anybody have this issue? Sprint has offered to send me a new phone, but now that the bat...

So I've had my KRZR since the middle of October and last week when I flipped open my phone, the main screen was completely black but the lights behind the buttons still came on. I took it to the Verizon store and they replaced it for me, but I was wondering if anyone else had this problem or if I just have horrible luck with phones!

There are numerous limitations between the K1M Verizon phone, VCAST ME (VME) and the Drivers which are not well represented by Motorola, Verizon and/or Smith Micro. I have included here what I have discovered. The attached PDF file from Myblueworks.com was the best condensed reference material I could find. Please test my discoveries, mine are based on testing 7 K1Ms with 6 desktops and 2 laptops.

I have the K1M on Verizon. Am I ever going to be able to ring and vibrate at the same time and still play individual ring tones? Any info on a firmware update is appreciated!!

this phn has very good music applications but it's too slow for me, i will kep my BlackBerry. if there is any body who wants this phn just let me know.

Can someone tell me if the speakerphon on the KRZR K1m is a full-duplex or a half-duplex speaker?

I'm due for new equipment and am currently using my V710. I'm considering either the KRZR K1m or the RAZR V3m right now. Both would be free, however, the RAZR requires only a 1 year commitment while the KRZR would require a 2 year commitment. RAZR is free while the KRZR would be free after the NE2 plan.

Can some people chime in and comment on the differences and similarities of the two? Does both phones allow you to set different rings for different entries (phonescoop comparo says the RAZR doesn't have that feature)....how about playing mp3s....would the RAZR play them too (not that I plan on doing a lot of it)...can both phones be "modded" the same way to set your own ringtowns...reception/clarity...etc.
