Motorola RAZR V3

I read another persons answer to this and i still dont get it. if you use the smart key when your on loud then it makes a noise so thats no good. How can you do it without makin a noise besides goin thru the menu, or is that the only other way?

Arite heres the story i just got a new black RAZR and its sick. Now i need some ringtones. Is there any way to hook up the phone to a PC in my room via bluetooth without buying any adapters or cables? If i can do this then i can easily get ringtones for free. Thanks a lot

Recently I've discovered none of my keys work except for the red on/off button. Also, a tiny blue light has now appeared to the top right of the outside screen whenever the phone is turned on. I've tried unlocking it, but nothing seems to work. Anyone know how to help?

Just got a black RAZR and there's a small gap between the bottom of the screen on the lid and the case. The shiny metal underneath shows through. Even though the gap is really small it's very noticeable against the black matte finish.

Has anyone else seen this problem?

Is it possible to access the Internet (GPRS) on a laptop through the Razr on Cingular's MediaNet plan, or do you have to sign up for a Cingular Data Connect plan?

I just received the mobile phone tools for my V3. The new version (3.19)of mobile phone tools creates a GPRS connection in Win XP. When I go to connect to it, it says user name and password not correct.

On the phone itself, if I go to media,, I can get the sports scores etc via the phone preset settings, so I know that the -media- is working.

I saw the thread about the following settings, but they still don't work. Anybody know the correct GPRS settings in mobile phone tools, so I can use the laptop to websurf, email, etc. FYI I do subscribe to the basic media package with Cingular.

The settings i used...
username [email protected]
GPRS APN wap.cingular
password CINGULAR1

i have a v551 and i was thinking about buyuing a razr what would be the difference in camera and features compared to my v551. plz let me know what u guys think thank you.

I just got a RAZR and the set up instructions references a "Distribution List". Is that a list you can put together from your address book that lets you blast out a voice message or is to send a text message to a group??. The local cingular Store is clueless about it!!

Is the Media-Net service addition to the razr really useful? I mean 5 bucks more to an already expensive plan makes it seem like this feature isnt really needed. But do people who have the Razr actually use this a lot, because you can just go on cingular's website and get all of the ringtones, graphics, and games you want without paying for charges.

ok so i got MPT, i got the drivers, and a usb data cable.
i was able to actually get the MPT to work, and upload some ringtones and pictures, but when I restarted my computer it wouldn't work. What happens now is when I connect the screen of the little phone does say CINGULAR GSM/US, but when I go to edit the media it stops seeing the phone. I do get to the screen that has the split display between what's on pc and what's on cell, except the cell part is empty.
can you help please?

my friend said something about unistalling the modem part somewhere, but I can't figure out what he meant.

i was wondering if there was a way to make the picture bigger and fit the screen of the external display. the way it is now, the picture id's that show up are really small. thanks for any help.

For the razr V3, which service provider has a better website for ringtones, wallpaper, and games?? Cingular's website seems to be more up to date whereas T-Mobile requires u to register to view all of their extras...thanks for your imput

Does the Razr for cingular have any volume hacks or upgrades becuz im having trouble hearing on the phone earpiece...its loud for one call then back to the same low volume the next. If there is a software upgrade or hack...can someone inform of where to find it or give me instructions please?

I hear a strange low frequency noise in the flip part of my RAZR phone. It is almost like the sound you might hear in your ear had you been to a loud concert. My friend's RAZR has the same noise but it is not as loud.

I will hear the noise through the flip part of the phone (speaker for the ear) when

1) the phone is off but plugged into the charger.

2) the phone is on (with or without) the charger abd the flip next to my ear.

Has anyone experienced this? Any ideas. The service is Cingular
