Motorola RAZR V3

Does anyone know if there is any way to quickly turn on vibrate and/or silent mode without going through the ring style menu or using the volume keys?

My previous phones have allowed this by, for example, holding in the # key for a few seconds, but that doesn't work on this phone. Using the menu system on the Razr causes, at the very least, a chime when trying to set vibrate -- which can be a problem when you want to quietly silence your phone. Using the volume keys are even worse if you are already at maximum volume and need to silence it.

Is there a way to do a one-touch silence operation?

Does anybody know if you can assign different ringers to different people for this phone because i am interested in buying

I just purchased a used razr v3 unlocked, and placed my sim in it. i tried calling but it says it has been blocked. I contacted my cust ser and says the phone is faulty

I dont know whether or not to buy from best buy or a cingular store. at Best Buy u pay $300 total with a $44.00 plan, then u get a $230 mail in rebate. but is there a catch to this rebate??

I've read that cell phone battery life can be extended by calibrating/conditioning the lithium ion battery. I'm familiar with the concept and procedure from computer laptops (charge fully, run all the way down till device shuts down, charge fully), but am wondering if it's, indeed, advisable to do with cell phones (and the RAZR V3 in particular). Does Motorola have an official position on this?

Hi, my friend tells me that she gets a cell phone management tool from CompUSA store in Dallas Texas, and this is the only software (cable included) that can let me to upload or edit MP3 ringtone with 100% original MP3 quality, even clip different MP3 into 1 MP3 ringtone, or also edit video with special effect.
The software box includes data cable, a handset manager software, install manu, free ringtone and wallpapers, and so on.
I check 3 CompUSA stores and they just told me all handset manager software are sold out!?
I have tried mobile phone tool before, but the MP3 quality is not acceptable, which made me very disappointed. 😢
I really want this product badly, can anyone tell me where I can buy one for my Razr in Jersey or NYC ...

If i download many ringers for the RAZR can i assign one to one person, another ringtone to another person and so on?

I just got the razr and my friend got the s710a. When I connect to him through bluetooth he can only find me. i can not find him. Also he has the ability to view all my files on his phone that can be transfered through bluetooth. I can not do either of these things. When I look for divices it says there are 0. I also can not connect to another motorola phone. Does anyone know how to do these things.

I see there the V3 has a built in speakerphone. How well does that work? Is the quality good enough to use in the car for hands-free rather than a headset?

can someone help me figure out how to change the default menu selections from the home screen? currently it has address book and something else (i don't have the phone in front of me). i want to had a shortcut to the Camera - which was what I had on V600.

My old VGA 1000 had a setting to assign a specific ring to calls with an unknown ID (I use a silent ringer for those), but I can't find this setting anywhere on my Razr. Anyone have any advice?

I looked in the Ring Styles menu under Loud Detail, and there are options for every other kind of call (AIM, text msgs, vmail, alarms, data calls, fax calls) but NOTHING for Unknown calls. If there is some other place I should be looking or if there is a software upgrade or hack that's would do it, I'd appreciate hearing about it.

I've had the black RAZR for two days on Cingular and I think I'm gonna return it. The phone itself is beautiful, but the sound quality is AWFUL. I can barely understand or hear the person on the other end. The earpiece is very 'distant' sounding and muffled even with the volume all the way up. My Nokia 3100 was a million times clearer. Anyone else that has the RAZR feel the same way? Are all Motorola's like this?

The specs on the RAZR states it has a Full Duplex speakerphone. Is it a true 2 way Full Duplex phone (ie seperate frequencies for listening and talking) I would appreciate anyone response cuz I need to put it in the middle of several ppl on a conference table and call ppl out of state...and have true 2 way conversation

I am shocked that this phone doesn't have voice independent dialing or digit dialing. I was the owner of a V710 with VZW, and I heard VZW would be releasing an upgraded version of the RAZR in Q1 '06. I thought about upgrading, but then I thought, Cingular has had the same phone out now for a year, and when VZW gets it, it will be much more expensive then what Cingular has it for. And I have been finding out that GSM gets the best phones first. So, I switched to Cingular. I would say so far the biggest drawback is the independent dialing. Perhaps, this way they'll entice people into paying $4.99 a month for Voice Connect. Of course there are a few other things in the RAZR that are not as good as the V710.... External screen size, no external ...
