Just out of curiosity, does this phone have airplane mode?

What accessories do you have for your phone, and where did you go to get them?

Just purchased this awesome phone. I would like to what needs to be done to make it possible to use this phone as a modem for my laptop and also which plan(s) should I be signed up for. I will be using the data cable for a faster connection. Thanx in advance...

The S710a has 32 mb built in/shared memory and a 32mb external memory card for a total of 64 mb or is it just one 32mb card?

I am trying to put mp3's on my phone but every time I try and paste a file to the card my computer says it is being shut down to prevent damage. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Vette6389

for some reason, games i put on my phone yesterday don't work today...?!?

here's what i did:
i have a game on my computer, i took the memory card out of the phone, put it in my computer, saved the game to my mem stick, put the mem stick back in the phone, and then sent a multimedia message to myself with the game attached.

i checked a bunch of them (but not all), and they were working fine last night, but this morning all they do is display the java logo, and then say "Invalid application"

i don't have bluetooth or high speed internet (stuck on 56k until DSL moves out here 😡 ) but i do have a PSP. i tried to use the IR and had a few games on the PSP's memory stick, but they wouldn't show up on the PSP screen, and i could never ge...

I just got mine yesterday after the price drop and I know the proc has always been known to be slow, but has anyone eve rlet it fall into screen saver mode and black out, to turn it on and the signal bar seems like the graphic is half missing, liek the last one or two bars, only a bit opf the bottom shows and its leaving the "blue box of bars" open, like a chunk is missing.

If I move to different folders or screens it pops back up again, but this just seemed... odd.

hey does anyone elses sony have an issue with the flip out rattling, or vibratign when silent goes off? And it makes a loud plastic on plastic sound? but if you flip it open once or twice and shut it, it wont do it for while *or if you squeeze the phone it wont*

It went off like that at work, and for silent, everyone in the room heard it 😛

Anyone else have this issue or is my phone just loose already from opening it?

Finally, after about 3 months of coming to this board in hopes of replacing my 5 year old cell phone, i went out and got a 710a last night!!

i was playing with it last night, and it's really cool. now here's my stupid question:

i don't have a usb cable to hook my phone up the my computer, and my computer doesn't have bluetooth, so the only way i can connect the phone to the computer is to take out the memory card, and plug that in to the card reader that came with the phone. I have a few downloaded games i got off the net last night, and i wanted to put them on the phone, but i don't know where in the memory card to put them!

can anybody help?

So I finally got my phone in yesterday; One thing I noticed is, my old T610 and even T630 had a floating clock that came on after the screensaver had done its deed, but I have no floating clock anymore on this phone. Can someone please advise me on that?

I just want a big clock on the screen when I am not using it, I don't care for the screensaver doing its thing or not, my main objective is to get a clock on the idle phone. Is there a setting that I am missing (i doubt it, i've been through every nook and cranny of menus) OR Is there a java app or something like that someone is aware of out there, that can provide me with Floating Digital Clock Bliss.

Help will be much appreciated.

You can see at Cingular.Com that it is now $299.99 with 2yr agreement. You can do the math for 1yr or noncontract. Probably $349.99 and $399.99 respectively. Hope this makes it a little more affordable for some of you buyers. It's a GREAT phone!

Does anybody know if this phone can be hooked up to a computer and used as a webcam?...I doubt it but I was jw... 😁

I read in a post on this page that the video recording time is only limited by the amount of free memory.

Is this the same for the audio recording and can anyone tell me roughly how long i could record for using a 128MB both with video and and audio. im guessing the video time is alot shorter

If Someone sends me a picture to my phone can i store it from there to the external memory card or can this only be done from my pc to the card reader to my phone? So to simplfy my question is can i store stuff to my phone without using a pc an the card reader an download it directly from the internet on my phone to the external memory card?

what happens on any mp3 player phone if someone rings or texts you while you,ve got the volume cranked up on your headphones?
im guessing it doesnt just ring as loud as the volume is directly into your ears half way threw a song so what does it do?

ok im stuck for choice now. 😕 how many of you lot on here would advise getting the K710i over the S710a n for what reason??

I want good audio for MP3 playback through the headset but also the storage for as many songs as possible. the S710a has a 3.5 mm headphone jack but i read that the k750i doesnt and needs a seperatly bought dongle (dongle?). is this a problem and do you think it would limmit the sound? also although the camera is 2 megapixel the screen is smaller and i would really like a nice size display. can anyone clear up my choice problem.
