Sony Ericsson S710a

My theory was proven wrong, ya know I thought cingular would have released the phone when verizon launched their two new phones. Man i guess something really did go wrong with it. I really wish phones could be like movies or at least games, I mean games get delayed every once in a while (Final Fantasy) but you know when movies are coming out months and months in advance especially on DVD. But phones . . . nope seems cingular doesn't even know when its coming out. Like they don't even want me to buy it. I go to the website do a search on it and . . . .nothing! Like it doesn't even exist, like its a secret.

how many pages will be written b-4 the phone comes out? i say once we hit 74 pages. thats when the phone will be out.

iam in the cetral region- iam a csr-agent que-tech que-godforbidding combined billing que-and the "department that handles that" when some one wants to cancle. and of course regular customer service calls. and 2 years befor that i was a a csr for cbw-.

No speaker-independent voice dialing?

One thing just occurred to me that I should have thought of much earlier. This will be my first actual SE, but I did briefly have a T226 as a loaner. Good phone, great RF, great battery, etc. Just one problem... I hated how unintuitive the menu was, specifically the hoops that had to be jumped just to send a text. (and when I say hate, I mean HATE) Has anyone had any experience with an S700 who can allay my newfound fear? If so, I would owe him (non-gender specific him, for any feminist who was about to mercilessly assault me) my eternal gratitude. And my first born son. I didnt really want him anyway...

since i get 30% off the full retail of phones iam gonna put soem on ebay. if i do this, ya think this is a good idea? since this phone seems to be ahigh demand mayby their sell out and people might pay a little more to get one. like the psp2 when it was lauched. ya think this would work.and onemore thing if i hav one for sales i will sell it for 20% off full retail. thru a pack in box store since they hav a account thru ebay with a high power seller points. any one think this is a good idea?

Is this possible with an EDGE phone that has bluetooth?

My phone is in my pocket, I open my laptop and connect (wirelessly) to the Internet through the phone.

The S710a will be out anyday soon (hopefully). WE don't want that pretty screen to have any flaws on it. So, I've been researching the best screen Protectors.

So far the best I have researched is the Martin Fields Overlay Plus. It is crystal clear and very scratch resistant. They even have it already pre-sized to exactly fit the screen of the S700/S710a so theres no cutting involved. I also checked out Boxwave and Nushield screen protectors, but I think that the MFoverlay Plus is the best investment so far. in google & u'll see reviews too.

My contract ends March 3rd.

I'v heard from a few people that if i upgrade my phone then i get a $100 discount on the phone.

Does that mean that if i renew my contract and get the phone for $399.99 i will get another $100 off of that? or is it $100 off retail if i dont renew my contract?

or am i just completely wrong?

Well, I was seraching through the forum trying to find that post where someone saw the S710a price sheet in some area, but I can't seem to find it. I wanted to know how much the S710a may be without any contract i.e.just the phone itself. If u guys have that (possible) price , please post it for me. Thanx dudes. 🙂

How many frames per second on the video?

Is there an equalizer on the mp3?

Related note: my hesitancy on this phone is that it will be brick-like and I will be laughed at 8 mos. from now. State of technology though. Personally, I would give up the phone (as this will be the outdated feature shortly) and am getting primarily for the screen/multimedia.

I am a new member to this website, i allways read this forum and am finally a member!! I just thought i would say that i recieved a brouchure that had the new phones for cingular "at that time", it stated that the S710a would be 399.99 with a 2 yr aggrmnt,.. so i figured that w/ 1yr would be 449.99 and 499.99 no contract. This brochure also had the price of the V3, "before it was released", and when it was released, the prices matched, the same for the z500 and the moto v551, so i think that might be the price, i hope!!!

I have been lurking here for a while and do not recall a comment on the manual being available. Still, I apologize if this is old news.

I noticed it at Amazon. It is an interesting read, in spite of its 97 pages, if you are going to purchase - one can sort of warm-up on the specifics.
