Someone please explain this to me, regarding early termination and plans

My contract expires on 6/20/06; very soon. I have a plan with 1100 minutes currently. I only use about 300-500 of those minutes. I tried calling Sprint today to see if I can get a lower minutes plan. They said that I can, but I would have to renew the contract for two years.

This did not please me, I asked if I can avoid the contract. I was told that I can get a plan with a "zero year" contract for an extra 10 dollars a month (per phone). So, the early termination fee is $150 dollars on Sprint. If I switch to this zero year plan for an extra 10 bucks for one month, I can cancel and avoid the $150 dollar early termination fee. Am I wrong? Am I missing something here. I explained how this was a loop hole to the customer service gi...

Verizon vs. Sprint vs. T-Mobile

😕

I have decided to leave Verizon because they REFUSE to sell me an unlimited text package and the overages are KILLING me.

I am trying to decide if Sprint or T-Mobile will be better for me, and I'm really not sure.

I live in Phoenix, travel a lot, and I'm on my phone constantly. I will need e-mail, web browsing, and all of that stuff too.

Any feedback here or privately will be greatly appreciated.

Justin

Sprint in LA

I was wondering what people's experiences are with Sprint in LA....... I currently have T-mobile which I'm OK with and my girlfriend has Cingular which she is OK with, but we're both intrigued by Sprint's pricing and wondering if the coverage is good. We live together on the Hollywood/West Hollywood border near Fountain and Gardner.

Thanks for the help everyone.

Sprint experts HELP

I'm going to go pick up the Samsung 920 and I only want to sign a one year contract. It's been a long time since I have signed up for service of any kind and want to know where it will say 'one year' will it be on a print out receipt or what. Any advice or anything to look for would be helpful. Thank you

Any Store Managers Out There?

I am looking for someone who manages a Sprint store in any market that isn't an "affiliate" market area. My market was recently taken over by Sprint (they bought out Enterprise Communications about 3 months ago) and we now have a new compensation schedule, different from Enterprise. What I want to find is a manager in a store who pays straight commission to it's sales reps off of this new compensation plan to help me better restructure our current employee compensation.....Anyone out there who can/willing to help?

Looking to make the switch, Cingular vs. Sprint

My contract is about up on Verizon and I am looking around to see what other providers are offering. I am looking to get either a blackberry or a Treo, and I want to know what are the pros and cons between Sprint and Cingular. Also which carrier is better when it comes to their data package. Or should I stay put with Verizon? 😉

How long do Ports from Nextel take?

Earlier today I finally took the plunge and upgraded my OLD Nextel and switched to Sprint. They were having a problem porting the number and gave me a temp. number until it finishes. The rep told me it cold take up to 72 hours to finish; is this correct? I am an AA for VZW and ports never take more than 24 hours. Does this seem correct?

Sprint and customer Phone upgrades

I am considering switching to sprint from T-mobile. I have liked T-mobile in the past because I always was able to sign 1-yr contracts. I am usually ready to upgrade phones each year or I have been known to lose phones. When your contract is up you have better negotiating power on getting a better price on a phone. I have bought unlocked phones also from myworldphone. Do these places not carry CDMA phones? I am worried that I will want to upgrade phones in a year, and apparantly Sprint only gives $75 off of retail price for a 1-year customer. I just don't want to get bent over if I need a new phone. It seems that only the GSM phones are available to buy without service (myworldphone etc)
Any help would be appreciated.

Sprint / Nextel Employee's

I know a while back I came across a device that would allow debit and credit card purchases to be sent via your cell phone. Not using your phone as a card, but as a card reader. I have lost that e-mail where the device was listed. I believe the e-mail talked about the device being used on the NEXTEL side of everything the first time I came accross it. Anyway I have a buisness customer needing this information, and the contact I use to find such things has just left for vacation.

SPRINT RANKS AS THE WORST - RUN!!!

I was with Verizon for eight years until they took forever to put out the treo 600 and their VIP program was ended. Sprint had the Treo so I switched. At first they rocked. I was on a $179/month plan and used almost all my minutes. Whenever my phone had an issue I walked it into any store and within five minutes they gave me a replacement. That is now a distant memory. First they hired a bunch of lackeys to run the stores who can never solve problems or if do so it is with attitude. Then the took the kiss of death by merging with Nextel. Since October of 2005 the service (I am in Los Angeles and drive all over the city) has been pure ****. There are at least ten area that I get dropped calls that did not before. They promised it would be wor...

Comcast's quadruple play to use "SmartPlay" brand

Comcast appears ready to launch a new brand for a quadruple-play offering with Sprint Nextel this summer. Earlier this month the cable carrier registered the trademark "SmartPlay" for use in a telecommunications service, according to regulatory documents.
