Sprint...Verizon...T-Mo...Cing. Date Transfer?

Ok I'm just curious what carrier you guys think has the fastest data transfer speeds? I have T-Mobile now and I always thought they were pretty fast...I text a lot...but now I don't think they are so much. How bout internet (WAP like T-Zones or T-Mobile web sorta things) speeds. Sprint and Verizon keep talking bout their new this or that 3G EV-DO stuff....so what do you think?

Something to know about.

Sprint's International Plan for $4 a month will not work for the first 90 days, due to federal law (homeland security). I added it to a customer's plan so that he may call Germany and he came back 5 days later saying that it was not working, I then proceeded to call customer care and they told me and my manager that it will not work for 90 days because (federal law). Just some info to tell customers, it sucks for us because 50% of our business is Military! Not anywhere on the Sprint site or the Brochure that we have says it will take 90 days. But 3 different CSRs told me that.

Beware of Sprint's "no roaming" policy.

I didn't believe someone here when they tried to tell me I had to use over 50% in the Sprint network or I'd be charged roaming or terminated.

I was subscribed to Sprint's 'Fair and Flexible' plan and guaranteed by the factory store to have zero roaming charges ever.

Plug in 48768 and see what happens. Sprint says they have service in that area....you know, "Fair and Flexible", "No roaming" etc.

They'll even send you the phones of your choice as long as it's a 2300 or 225 🤣 . Problem is, they didn't work without roaming even though they said it should. After calling Sprint they said to ignore the roaming warning. I did and racked up a $300+ roaming charge and many hours of frustration with their "customer no-service" and tech id...

SOMEBODY HELP!

I bought a brand new Treo 650 about 2 weeks ago pretty cheap from a guy through a want ad. I picked the phone up in person and I got home and unwrapped the phone I noticed that it already had a phone # connected to it. The funny thing is that it guided me through the voicemail set up as if I just bought new service. So basically its a free line. I went on vision and under "my acoount" and plan info it says "Demo Plan" with 1500 mins and unlimited everyting else. I called the guy I bought it from and he said that his friend gave it to him and he's in Iraq. He said the phone was won at a game show and has free service. I called sprint and the lady from Cust Serv said that its a Government account but she wouldnt give me any other info because ...

A question I need answered

I have been a sprint customer for 7 months now and have two phones with them. I ported over from verizon and have been very pleased. The Sprint phones work so much better especiall in buildings. The question I have is Why in all of the media publications Sprint gets a bad reputation. In JD Power they always rank below verizon and t-mobile. I can understand Verizon being on top because of the name mainly but T-mobile, thier network coverage is very small.

Also comsumer reports every year ranks Sprint very low.

How do they come up with their findings and does anyone believe them and does anyone seeing sprint improving in either of these publications.

Either way I think Sprint is very good and will continue to get better.

Th...

Sprint and the so called no roaming.

My mother is a sprint customer.I however am not. She recently got her phone replaced and got a new plan. What is funny is they told her she had no roaming. Since I work for another wireless carier, I asked if she is paying the 5 fee Sprint has for the roaming option. She said no. She said the sales rep told her that the no roaming was included in her plan. My first thought was that they may have been packing it in the plan price. That was not the case. I live in rural ohio. My mother comes over to show me her new phone. It says no service. I check the settings on her phone. You could imagine how shocked I was to find her phone on home only. It wasn't set to automatic so she couldn't pick up any extended network. I set it to automatic. Oh my,...

Dual Mode phones

So I saw the pics, and liked the phones alot, BUT...The manufacturer is Motorola. How are they gonna handle CDMA? They've made one phone for Sprint in the past 5 years or so, and I know these phones are gonna have some serious glitches. I'd be very hesitant to rush to get one of these phones. I think it'd be easier for a company like Sanyo to incorporate iDen into a CDMA device, rather Motorola doing vice versa. Luckily, the C290 hasn't had big issues, so I hope I'm wrong on this. 😕

$36 ESN SWAP FEE? WTF?

I was reading a previous post and I noticed about the $36 esn swap fee, maybe I missunderstood. So basically every time you get a phone from ebay or decide to change your ESN you will get smacked with a $36 dollar charge? is this accurate?? that would be down right dirty from sprint since their upgrade eligibility program just SUCKS to begin with.

Can someone who is knowledgeable or work for sprint answer this?

Thankies!
