If you "believe" in something better, I beg you to tell uscc how bad their "marketing team" sucks!!! This "ad" campaign is disgusting!!! They really, really ****ed this one up!! They have one of the best trademarks in the wireless industry to work with!!! FOR GOD'S SAKE, PLEASE TELL THEM TO CHANGE THE COLORS BACK TO RED AND BLUE!!!! The "new" color scheme makes me want to puke EVERY time I see their pathetic attempts!! Trust me, I would market their products for them, if they could afford me!!!!! 🤣 🤣 🤣

So U.S. Cellular changed their Pay as you Go text message rates from $0.20 to $0.25.

My question is, does USC Terms and Agreements allow for a Materially Adverse Change of Contract, similiar to what Verizon had last year? I have been trying to get out of my contract for sometime as I am no longer in the calling area.

When I signed the contract I was on pay as you go texting and used it on a regular basis.

USC Peeps, is there a materially adverse change of contract clause in the terms and conditions? If so, I would love to get out of this damn contract.

Opinions? I love love love love my curve...but the htc's touch screen is calling my name for some reason.. If and when uscc gets a touch screen blackberry, heaven will open and smile for me.

I currently work in the downtown Chicago area and I'm looking for a phone that allows signals in the high rises. CAN ANYBODY RECOMMEND A GOOD HIGH RISE PHONE? I tried the HTC6800 and Motorola phones don't work either. 😕

Why did they raise their rates, bring back the activation fees, and are still not even close to offering good high speed data access?

Is it because they are spending every ounce of cash available on a marginal advertising campaign?

Or are they just biding their time before TDS sells them off. You do realize USC biggest asset is inbound roaming from Verizon customers? ANd Verizon is aggressively expanding and using less and less (especially with the addition of 85% of Alltell's network), and a failded marketing campaign, and an increase in churn, and a faltering economy, and a low income customer base, and any of these other reasons spell out doom for this company.

And I cannot wait. I believe this company will no longer exist by 4...

Ok...I am torn. USC has the new upgrade fee if you decide to upgrade your account early. Kind of similar to the PETF, but rather than cancelling service early this is for custy's that decided to renew at any point during their contract, be it they want the latest and greatest or damaged equipment. I think that is totally awesome. HOWEVER...I had a customer come in today, a long time customer who had excellent pay history. She had fallen in a river kyaking this weekend and obviously her phone is toast. This customer bought a new battery for her phone last month since she wasn't elig till September, and now that she needed a new phone all they could offer was a $45 buy out (early upgrade fee).

So I see where this policy helps those ...

Okay, my boyfriend is on his dads gf plan, and he just turned 18 a few months ago...but wants to get his own account in his own name and sign a 2yr contract himself....the contract on his dads gf account isn't up till april i think, and im not sure if hes on a family plan or not, but he doesn't wanna be on her account anymore and wants to get his own account and keep his number and upgrade to a new phone. If he cancels the line on her account, will he have to pay an ETF??

i know this sounds confusing, but im trying to explain it the best i can...lol

Due to the material breach in contract by US Cellular, you can in fact get out of contract without paying the ETF. I know for a fact at least 3 people that have. This is your chance to truly "believe in something better" yeah like Verizon!

After shopping around extensively for a good value in prepaid service, I was shocked to learn the price for the pay as you go program from USCC. $6 a month or 15 cents a minute or $10 a month for 10 cents a minute. This is almost as expensive as the morons at AT&T charge. T-Mobile is taking over the prepaid market. USCC better wake up, they are pricing themselves out of the ballpark. There is a good buck to be made in prepaid, but once again USCC has missed the boat.

I am curious what you're locations are doing to drive traffic into your store. I work in a rather slow store, for activations, and am looking for some ideas to get customer into our store. We already use RAK cards to get customers in. Any other tips or advice?
