HANDSHAKE?!?

I am just curious to see what employees and customers both think about USCC wanting associates to start and end customer interactions with a handshake.

My personal thoughts... 😁

I don't know that I am 100% comfortable beginning an interaction with a handshake...I think a warm smile and pleasant greeting is sufice. Quite frankly...I don't want to touch some of my customers. And I don't want to put a customer outside of their comfort zone either. Once I build a rapore with the customer through the sales process I do usually end the transaction with handshake(depends on the customer) and a "thanks for coming in today!"

Interested to hear others feelings on this.

RAZR EasyEdge apps

Anybody have any insight as to when the easyedge catalog will fill out a bit on the RAZR? I haven't received my phone yet, but I was just looking at USCC's website, and there is no SodaPop mail, no Mobile AIM, no iPhonebook or iDatebook.

Renewing Contract?

If I am renewing my contract, by signing a 2 year agreement, how much would the RAZR cost me?

Anyone use Bluetooth laptop with their Razr?

I'm about to experiment with mine, just wondering what people have been able to do with it. I know my laptop recognized it before and I tried putting a file on their by just dragging it on, but now I'm gonna try the link that was on Page 3 to try and put mp3 on there. Hope it works.

Which phone to get?

My contract is coming up at the end of this month and I'm not real sure what phone I want. I really like Nokias, especially the 6235, but I'm not sure if I want bluetooth (waiting for Alejandro to chime in on that). I kinda miss the days when USCC had such a slim phone selection that there was only one obvious choice.

For the experts out there, what phones would you recommend to a customer on the basis of a feature-rich phone with good reception? I am currently considering the v710, the RAZR, the 6235 (what can I say, I like candybar phones), and 6255, but am open to other suggestions.

Help me understand?

I am eligible to get a new phone at a discounted price in May 2006. Being that I am a little over 2 months away from getting this discount, why wouldn't USCC waive the 2 months and sign me for another 2 years and give me the damn discount. Or I can just pay $150 to cancel my service and go get a free cellular phone somewhere else.

AIM needs Additional Talktracker Access

I'm not sure if there are any techs out there, but if there are, what are the chances that we could get more info on AIM for talktracker customers?

70% of these customers don't have a clue what priceplan they are on and don't know how much they need to add.

To avoid leaving the customer with a negative balance, isn't there a way they cycle close and price plan could show up on AIM when we look up the accounts. PRC doesn't like to look this info up if there isn't an actual transaction taking place and lately customer service has had major hold times and its not worth the wait for such a minor issue.

This is just my 2 cents.

Free bluetooth for Nokia 6255

I got the 6255 last month and was supposed to get a free bluetooth headset. I filled out all the paperwork and sent it in. I went to www.nokiapromos.com to check the status and they can't find it. It gives you a number to call and of course its not even a number to nokia. They also say to email them but i haven't heard a reply back and it been 2 weeks. So should i assume that i wont get it?

Internet on PDA using USCellular network and 6255i

This seems like the right crowd to ask about the capabilities of the US Cellular network so here it goes.

My two years are up and I'm going to get a new phone but would really like to be able to get Internet access on my Dell PDA (hopefully using Bluetooth). If I sign up for the EasyEdge service can I do this? What phone would work the best (either bluetooth or cable)?

I asked the rep in my local US Cellular store and she just looked at me odd and said she would have to check with someone else and had no clue what I was talking about.

Thanks in advance -

J

SCAM ALERT!!!!!!!!

Dear all:

A friend of mine recently recieved a call on his T-Mobile phone from someone claiming to be from T-Mobile. My friend posted what happened on his livejournal:

"I just got a call on my cell phone from somebody claiming to be from T-Mobile and claiming to offer me a rebate. Being the suspicious person that I am, I noticed that something didn't sound quite right about the situation. He asked for my name and social security #, which I did not give. I pressed the caller for information (ie his supervisor's name, and how he had my address), and he hung up, knowing that the scam was up.

So if you're a T-Mobile customer and get a call from an unidentified number from somebody claiming to be from T-Mobile, hang up on them, or bette...

new phone preliminaries.... 6255

6255

top is heavier than bottom, causing a recoil effect when you open it, the bottom feels cheap but the top is heavy like a mofo. slow camera time, if i take a picture it goes to "saving image" with a white screen it then takes the picture a couple seconds later, if i move the phone it will take a picture of the new direction. As in, if i take a picture of the wall, while it is saying saving image, if i move it slightly down before the shutter sound, my new picture will be of the floor. which i do not need to tell you sucks. this may just be in the specific mode i had it in though (night mode) The phone is significantly bigger (and more square) than the 6100 and twice as heavy. this phone is not activated but i am worried about its 2 "b...
