Please.

We cannot stop trolls but I urge every civil person in here to not respond to them to fan the flames. Trolls without goats to eat will eventually move to another bridge.

Potential New Customer Here

Hello all. Currently I'm a Cingular customer, however, I am moving to West Virginia in a few weeks, due to relocation for a new job.

As of 2 weeks ago, I noticed that Cingular's service wasn't that great in WV due to its mountainous areas.

As a potential new customer to US Cellular, I was wondering how the service is, customer service reps, rate plans, phones, etc.

Anyone in here near the WV areas (Bluefield, Beckley, Princenton).

Any help will be appreciated, thanks in advance.

Motorola V3c Text Messaging Alerts

Can someone please help me?? I have a US Cellular version Razr V3c. I am having a text messaging alert concern. When I receive text messages from contacts who I have not assigned a ringer id to the normal inbox alert sounds. When I receive a text from a contact whom I've assigned a ringer id to, the ringer id goes off making it difficult to differentiate between a text message and a voice call. Is there any setting that can be modified so that all incoming texts utilize the text messaging alert and not the ringer id?? Thanks!

Kyocera Slider Remix

I've had my original Slider for a very long time, and I'm renewing my plan and getting a new phone sometime in May. The only thing I want is a Slider Remix, but the reps in my area have said that they don't see US Cellular getting the phone. I'm pretty disappointed about this.

Does anyone have information contrary to this or can anyone recommend another good phone? I don't really like flip phones but I guess that's pretty much my only option.

If I bought an unbranded Slider Remix online what would be the chances that I could get it to work with US Cellular?

Thanks for the help. =)

Termination of ShareTalk plan

Hey everyone,

I'm new to this forum and I just had a quick question. My wife and I are on a 800 minute share talk plan with (obviously) two lines. We are considering to terminate our service. I am aware of the ETF. My question is, will a $150 or a $300 ETF apply? When you sign up for service you have the option to add a share talk line (which would be the same plan) or you can add a regular line (which can be another plan). So does the "early termination fee per line may apply" pertain to share talk as well?

Thanks for your help!

Another EasyEdge question...Thanks!

Why are some easyedge ringtone apps excluded with some phone models? For example: the KX9C disallows MidiRingtones...while order models of phones allow it.

This doesnt make sense!

I broke my 6100 the other day and I went to buy a new phone. I'm in the middle of my contract, so I was prepared to pay a little more for a phone. But when I was told $349 for the phone I wanted, I was amazed. It would be cheaper for me to cancel my service and go somewhere else and get a free phone. I understand there are rules, but this is a stupid one. For current customers, you should at least be able to purchase a phone for less than the cancelation fee.

St Louis And the "Y" Class credit...What do you all think of that?

Since they revamped the whole credit system everything had been going well. M02 got the best part of the deal with only L & M requiring deposits (and low ones at that). I am curious if there are any ST Louis reps here and how you all deal with the new Y class credit, and the $600 X class

I think it would be cool if...

I think it would be cool if U.S. Cellular bought Alltel, and other smaller CDMA carriers across the country and became a national carrier. I say this because I think U.S. Cellular is a great brand, and it would be a good national carrier.

Any way to talk to someone higher up?

I am having a problem getting a credit issued to my account and at 611 they could not do anything either.

My issue is this.. I added a share talk line and paid $200 for the V323. 2 weeks later I renewed my original contract and also purchased the V323 at a price of $87 .. I was told that since I was within the 30 day price guarantee that I would receive a credit to my account with the difference of the price of the phone now and what I paid.. and to look for it on my next bill or the one after that as it may take two cycles for the credit to appear. This was Feb. 19th.

My next bill for March arrived.. had no credit. Bill this month arrived.. also no credit. I talked to the store - they said to call Customer service because it has been ...

LG LX-550

I don't suppose there's any chance we'll be getting the LG-LX550 is there? That phone looks awesome. Totally beats anything in USC's current lineup.

Slider Remix

So we've gotten flyers saying that the Remix is coming out. It seems like a great addition to line up that is slowly beefing up. What do all you out there think about it?

Easyedge - a newbie

I'm not a young person. I have tried to get 2 different ringtones - both available to other carriers - but not USC. I put off getting a new phone that could download ringtones until just recently. I was one who got caught by the 911 GPS deal. So I upgraded from a 3 year old phone. It would seem that USC should find a way to a)expand their available ringtones...or b) dump easyedge and go the way of everybody else where they can get ringtones from anybody. Just a thought form an oler user who doesn't give a flip about gamea or wallpaper or latest music. Would just like to get...zoom, zoom, zoom.

USCC/Cellular One Merger???

I had a customer call and tell me that they had rcvd a letter from Cellular One that they would be merging with USCC in the next few months. I had heard about the All-Tel area that was to become USCC, but hadn't heard anything regarding Cellular One. I am waiting on a call back from my AAE, but still just wondering if anyone else had heard anything. I just found it odd that Cellular One would send out letters to customers before we even heard anything of it. Either we are the last to know or the customer read the letter wrong. Anybody know anything?
