neither of them knows what they do, i have been transfered 8 times between the 2 to re-activate my account. and im eing told the ETF was being waived, but i was out of contract when it got cancelled for non-pay

sometimes (mostly almost 2 years ago) an employee would make a mistake and mark a 731 as a motorola bag phone, when those people come in because they got an E911 form, i have been turning them away because their phone is compliant, i assume us cellular is only going by the employee selected descriptions, and agents right now are making bank on errors like this because us cellular doesnt care to fix it they say things like (well we auto rebate those phones for you and they cant be changed)

so if they are trying to get compliant what am i supposed to do, am i supposed to give them a new phone or send them on their way with us cellulars info still wrong.

I saw a USCC plan for chicago 1500 anytime nationwide minutes free incoming calls and an extra charge for nights and weekends.My question is i am in Knoxville Tn and this plan isn't listed for our area if i take a copy of this uscc plan into the local sales office will they honor it?

I understand that the Nokia 6255i will be discontinued soon and with that the price of the phone will be dropping drastically. Anyone have any idea when that might happen?

Can I set an MP3 as a ringtone or did they cripple this feature so you have to download ringtones?

Okay, we have an issue down here in my neck of the woods. Its time for a local business to renew their phones, but they are really, really happy with the phones they have, go figure. They have Kyocera 7135's and except for the inability to access EasyEdge, they love the incorporation of a phone with a pda. The only choice they have now for a similar phone is the Blackberry, and it's not PalmOS, which they are adamant about, it can't edit documents without additional cost and alterations, and they can't get the Blackberry without the Blackberry Service for $40 a month. The email isn't important anymore since they have had no email access from their phone for over 18 months, they are used to it, and don't see a reason to pay $40 bucks a mo...

Ok I have heard that the way to tell if a battery is bad you can spin it on the counter and if its bad it will spin and if its not it won't... so when I first heard this I was like ok thats got to be a lie...but I tried it today and it works...at least it seems like it so far. Does anyone know anything more about this? Why does it do this or is this just a coincedence?

I have had two nokia 6255is in the last 2 weeks. Both have had the problem of dropping calls after 5 minutes or so. The agent says its because the towers are being worked on but nobody else i know is having problems.it really makes me want to return the phone cancel my new contract and go elsewhere for a phone.

OK....I have heard people say LG is better, and I have heard people say Motorola is better, but which one really is? What is everyones opinion on each?

Personally I go with Motorola and recommend Motorola most of the time. The reception on Motorola phones has performed better than any LG phone we have had since the 4400. I have definatly had less problems and less returns on Motorola than LG as well. I will admit though when motorola was still using the old charging port, LG phones were definatly more durable. LG phones are also easier to use, but in the end being able to make a call is the most important part. I would rather be extra careful with my phone and make a call than I would having a durable phone that won't make a call....

Ok does anyone else think that this mystery shop stuff is getting way out of hand? I mean some doofus who probably doesn't even have a real job is going to tell me what I need to do to be a good sales rep??? Not only that but they are allowed to comment on personal things such as one's appearance and the stores appearance (I take offense to negative comments about my shop). Thats B.S. Besides, why would anyone even write such negative stuff as some of them people do unless it was truly a horrible experience to them which I highly doubt??? Some people are just so unhappy!

Hey Y'all. Who ever's an actual USCC employee (n/a for agents) if you haven't used the Cedar Rapids Tech Team homepage i encourage you to do so! It's soooo helpful & has easy-to-follow programming steps & other info. From the cellsite go to Dept Homepages> Customer Care Centers> Cedar Rapids> on left-hand side on Tools, click on Phone Programming.. Save to your Favorites b/c I'm sure it'll come in handy!!!

At the top it has all the manufactures listed & you just go to the correct model. There's programming, and the How-To Guide has great tips like DTMF/ringtones settings, EE App removals & where to find downloaded ringtones, checking current PRL to see if update needed, etc. Also on the Notes/Issue tab there's info such as software...
