Yeah, I know, another release date question Galaxy IIf

😁 😁

Let me start out by saying I did a quick search as to recent posts online and on this forum. I am interested in the Samsung Galaxy IIs but cannot see any info about when it will be released.

I saw info about the Droid Prime but I will believe it when I see it, I mean, really, OS 4.0? Skipping all levels of OS 3? Come on...

Anywho, I like the Droid Bionic, but I am holding out for the Galaxy. Anyone have any info or input?

Thanks this is my first post, be kindπŸ™‚

Phone Replacement

I called Verizon today and was told because my Droid X was still under warranty they're sending me a new one. Or refurb, anyways I was told from a friend of mine that works for Verizon Wireless that they stopped doing exception upgrades but that I may have one more I can use. Is that true?

Considering a mobile hotspot

OK, long story short, I'm a college student in Orlando (UCF to be specific, over 55,000 students 😳 ). I have AT&T now with my iPhone, and have no problem saying that the service at school sucks monkeys as far as data speeds go. There are so many kids with iPhones it's ridiculous. And the school Wi-Fi is slow as a slug slithering through syrup in the dead cold of January. I'm talking 5 minutes to load a page, if it loads, at lunch hour.

So, AT&T is out for a hotspot since it would have to be an LTE hotspot to be on a separate network from 3G/HSPA+, which are both bogged down. And no LTE service where I am, or anywhere right now.

So, I have a few questions for you Verizon peoples!

First: return policy on hotspots? I do want to g...

My prediction

I bet in the peeps that have the unlimited data grandfathered will have to lose it in the future, to take advantage of whatever promos are available at that time. Kinda like the old America's Choice to the crappy Nationwide plans (pay as you go data, 1.99 per mb to surf media center catalog vs airtime)

I bet the employees get the shaft first. Prolly without any promos.

They have to gouge our eyes out for data, 'coz VOip would have otherwise made calling too affordable to the average Joe.

I won't get too comfortable with my grandfathered unlimited data.

Verizon gave me upgrade early

I am looking for some opinions on phones and what to do. I have the Droid X2 now (long story on that)and I like it just fine. Should I hold out for an upcoming phone or pickup a Bionic or some other phone now? I also like HTC phones, but both DINC 1 & 2 had poor signal strength. Is the Thunderbolt better in this regard? Give some ideas guys.

Thanks,
Chad

New phone suggestions

I currently have a Blackberry Tour and am getting rid of it as soon as I can. It served it purpose but now I want a phone that can do more. I'm debating whether or not to wait till October(or so I've heard) to get the iPhone 5. I hope that they make it 4G. If I don't get the iPhone what are other good Verizon phones out there? I have heard good/bad things about the Thunderbolt, does anyone have a Driod X2 or LG Revolution? Just wanted some thoughts and ideas. Thanks.

Calls to my other lines free?

Just a quick question, I'm currently reviewing my Family and Friends numbers and I can't find anywhere is call inside of Verizon or ever to my own lines count against my minutes.

Should these 10 numbers only be for non-Verizon calls?

OK, here's the deal...

The only smartphone I want is the iPhone. Believe it or not, I don't need data, and I object to having to pay for it. I want to talk and have the mp3 function in order to demo docking stations for customers. Now, if I HAVE to pay for data, then the phone is going to surf and talk at the same time, period. AT&T's iPhone does that. The current Verizon iPhone does not. No one seems to know what the next Verizon iPhone will be capable of at this point. Is the sticking point whether it will be a 4G handset? Is it the network? WHAT? I like Verizon's coverage pattern, but in the metro areas, AT&T seems to be equivalent. Does ANYONE out there know what we can expect from Verizon in the next couple of months?

More evidence of what we've been saying for years

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/08/29/verizon-net ... »

Best Network, Least Problems, superior to AT&T in every way but 3g download and upload speed.

Good to see somethings never change.

Ghost Dialing

So today I'm at the movie theatre with my friend. During the middle of the movie her AT&T iPhone rings; She shows me her phone and says "You're calling me!" I pull my Verizon iPhone 4 out of my pocket and the screen is locked and the call does not show up in my recent calls. A few minutes later, the same thing happens again. No voicemails were left. 🀨

I'm guessing it's a phone issue?? Thoughts?...

New Rate Plans

Does anyone know if there are any new rate plans especially with Truly Unlimited Mobile Calling to anyone on any network?

I know I can change my plan to a Friends & Family Plan or go Unlimited, but that is not an option financially right now.

Thank You for your time!

No more unlimited data

So I don't know where I was when there was talk of Verizon getting rid of it's unlimited data plan but if I had heard something sooner I may still have it! so mad. When I first heard this took effect like July 7th, I though I had unlimited data already so I would be grandfathered in. Turns out I don't and now I'm going to pay a crap ton. Ughh! Is Sprint the only one with unlimited data now??

Unleashed

Sounded too good to be true; yup, checked it out on Vz.com and found it's limited to their 3 crappiest phones. sheeeezzzz, what a load of poop. And by the way, why does Vz have such a crummy feature phone selection; dogs, everyone of them.
