verizon data

Verizon agreed to reimburse customers for dropping them for excessive data usage, when they advertised unlimited data use. It's about time!

Updated Release Dates and Prices

Any new word on, or official word on would be more appropriate, on the release date(s) of the Voyager and Venus?

Last I heard was the day before Thanksgiving....I am hoping they will release them earlier than that....otherwise that day and Black Friday are going to be HELL!

And anything on pricing for them too would be nice to know....

Cheap rate plan

Hi all. If my job provides me with a cell phone, is there a plan that is by the minute, or very low minutes per month, like around 50, that I can put my personal line on? I wanna keep my personal number, but very rarely use the phone.

Thanks,

C

Charging

What do you tell your customers on how to charge the phones?
I normally just say run them down the 1st time all the way then give them a full charge. What have you guys found that worked the best for you & your customers? Do you turn them off when charging? Do you EVER use a car charger? Do you talk on it while charging?

An Apology From Sprint_2007..!

Hey guys/girls, apparently a fellow co-worker of mine had himself a little fun with my Phone Scoop account. After my shift was over, I left my computer unlocked as I didnt think anybody would touch it. Well, sorry to say he said he was bored and started being a jerk to you guys in the Verizon forum. On my behalf, I apologize. I got an E-mail from the Phone Scoop Moderators who explained to me what happened. Apparently the thread was titled, "Sprint OVER Verizon all day every day" Once again, I apologize. With my words said, I leave you guys with my blessings and hopes you guys have a great weekend! Right now my shift is over, once I submit this thread I am clicking the old Control+Alt+Delete button and locking my computer. Thanks for taking ...

Bluetooth version 2 compatible version 1.2?

I have the LG VX8700 and am thinking about getting the Jabra JX10 Series II bluetooth headset. Will the bluetooh version of the headset be compatible to the phone?

I've been using the Jawbone and it has worked as advertised but it is awkward to use. If the JX10 isn't compatible, does anyone have suggestions for a similar headset? Thanks in advance.

Best deals

Are the best deals on wireless service online, or in Verizon retail stores. Online with my employer's discount I can get 17% off monthly service and 20% off phones and accesaries with no activation fee. I have heard that retail stores can match this and somtimes give free phones and accessaries. Does this mean that stores offer better deal? (Especially during the slower sales period at this time of year)
I'm looking at getting an LG Env.
Thanks

i760 vs. XV6800? Let's hear it

OK, two new PDA's with WiFi are coming to VZW.

Let's hear some reasons why we should choose Samsung over HTC/UTS. Why i760 over XV6800.

Can we clarify the following pls:

> Do they both have the same size screen?
Is one bigger or higher rez?

> Does one have a better reputation for quality, how about reception?

> Do you both run the same exact OS? Does one brand handle this OS better?

> What about slickness and weight?

> Which one is more of a workhorse or has better WiFi or more bells and whistles.

Let's hear it... 🙂 S

5800 & 6800 Phones

So i keep seeing rumors on these two phones for over a year and nothing from Verizon. I am not sure what they are waiting for, the consumer line-up looks good but I want a little more utility than the vx10000 in a phone.

What I am not sure about is why can sprint keep releasing all these CDMA handsets and Verizon can't. It seems the network has been so fine tuned that normal CDMA handsets no longer work without an OS rewrite by Verizon.

Come on Verizon, consumers really want more choices when it comes to phones. Not only that but a delayed launch period only frustrates people. Release them all and let the sales people sort it all out.

Ugg I want my 6800 already...

ENV, VOYAGER AND OUTLOOK

I have a question, that I'm sure isn't possible to answer at this point, but I'm going to ask anyway.

Does the ENV sync with outlook calander? And if the ENV does, do you think that the Voyager will as well. I'm looking for a phone that has all the toys of the voyager, but has a calender that I can use (and since I already use my outlook calender, it would be great to set it up to sync with that). I know the 755p would, but I don't really want such an boring old phone.

Thoughts and help?

Thanks.
