On phonearena.com they have this smart phone as "upcomming" i have noticed phonearena lists phones on the upcomming tab of their site and they actually never are released, does anyone know if this is an actual phone that will come out for verizon?

since there are keys on the outside of the phone, ive always wondered, are you able to compose a text by using the keys on the outside? i do not mean bringing up the digital keyboard and using a stylus

ie: using outside keys as T9 or whatever

Apple Inc. has sold more than a million iPhones, but more than a sixth of them may never get hooked up to AT&T, the gadget's exclusive U.S. cell phone service provider.

I was trying to see how close I am to a Verizon cellular tower. I was checking on cellreception.com and I found towers for US Cellular, Sprint, Cingular and T-mobile. However, I couldn't find any VZW towers but did find some other companies towers in the area. Does anyone know if a third-party company actually owns the towers/antennas? If so, what company actually hosts VZW's wireless signal?

Y doesnt Nokia make phones 4 Verizon? and when they do y do they suck so much? lol..Except 1 in wich I loved very much till I switched 2 the 6256i and had 2 change it twice first got it in March of 06 then by Aug 06 I changed it completly cuz I kept having probs then finally went 2 current phone wich is a samsung a990.(Not 2 thrilled by it)..I have come 2 realize that verizon phones pretty much all suck in general.LOL..

which phone should i get....i have a samsung 990 now and the reception is poor and its limited in what it can do besides take good pictures

i want to be able to surf forums like this, check sports scores, occasionally check e-mail

i had a treo and felt it was two big to carry around everyday

i dont really care about playing mp3 thats what my mp3 player is for.

i do text moderately, i like to play video games on my phone and sometimes i'll check out the v-cast video's...

ultimately i'm going to wait til all phones are out in the stores where i can play with them but i'd like to know what you think now

My mom uses this phone and lost it on a recent trip. She would like to buy a replacement, and because she's technologically handicapped she would like to buy the same phone. Do stores still have them in stock? I will call around tomorrow but just curious if anyone has bought one recently.

p.s. I showed her the new 8350 and she said it's too "slippery" for her and hard to open. Sheesh 😕
