I'm going to be getting another prepay phone, and I was wondering if I could keep my # and would my minutes go to that new phone.

I was reading on Boy Genius that now the data plan is limited to 4gb per month. Any one have any ideas?

I got the E815 the day it was released in July 2005. I've loved the phone, except for the kind of large size and the ringers being accidentally adjusted from the side buttons when the flip is closed. It constantly gets turned to mute in my purse. Now it's time for my "new every two". I live in Baltimore, so no VCAST TV yet, but I would be interested if it becomes available. I use my VCAST internet service alot, since I travel for work. I check my hotmail account several times/day. What is the latest and greatest? Money isn't my biggest consideration. I think I want to stick with a flip, since I like throwing it in my purse and don't want something with an external screen to be scratched. Also like small, so I don't want to be walki...

I've just been over on the iPhone discussion. It's been a ton of laughs. There's some people over there who don't care that the phone's unsubsidized and still requires a 2y contract; doesn't support 3g; doesn't have a removable battery or convenient support channels; and is the first attempt at a phone from a company that can't keep it's share of the computer marketplace. Some of these guys really think it's revolutionary and will sell millions.

The US International Trade Commission (ITC) today issued a ban on the import and sale of all new 3G phones using Qualcomm's chips. The ban comes as a result of a patent dispute with Broadcom, which Qualcomm recently lost. This ban will halt the release of all new CDMA models as well as any WCDMA or HSDPA models that use Qualcomm chips. Carriers will be able to continue selling previously launched models, including replenishing stock of them. Until this dispute is settled Sprint, Verizon and other CDMA carriers will not be able to launch any new phones and Cingular will only be able to launch new 3G phones that don't use Qualcomm's chips, such as those from Nokia. Anybody else see the irony in the new vzw commercials talking about their new text plans with "unlimited" texting?

Their catch phrase "Verizon Wireless, where "unlimited" means unlimited!"


I think they should put the disclaimer in the end "unlimited" does only refers to text messaging, not data usage"

Or

"Verizon Wireless, where unlimited is unlimited, sometimes"

just wanted to ask, my Friend just sold his 9400 on ebay and got the sammy a990. he then told me he does this every few months. he buys a hot new phone keeps it for a few months, takes good care of it then sells it on ebay for full price and upgrades to a newer phone. he said he has done this over four times already. [he pays full price of course though but Say's what he gets on ebay for the phone more than makes up for it.}

so does anyone do this? i never thought of it really, plus isn't it a pain to keep redoing your phone contacts every few months? thoughts?

I read on phonearena.com that the Pearl is supposed to come to Verizon on the 7th of May. I have heard nothing else about this. Any truth to the pearl coming to verizon?

I have read the older info on this phone and I am just wondering if anyone has heard anything recently on when and if this phone will come available - the last I heard was that it might be released in June or July. Also I don't remember if this phone will have wi-fi on it or not. Any new info would be appreciated.

Walked into my local VZW corp store today, and asked two different reps about the new 'upgrade after 20 months on a 2-yr' upgrade policy. Both of them looked at me like I was trying to pull a fast one on them. 🤣

They both checked with a higher-up, and got the 411 pretty quickly though. They seemed really surprised that I was right and wasn't tryin' to play them. One guy even updated my upgrade date in the system, but I go to check my account online, and its still the same ol' upgrade date.

It's cool that VZW did it, but seems like they need to get the word out faster/better and have the changes take place more quickly online. Oh well, I ain't lookin' a gift horse in the chops. 😎

I need some advice about switching to Verizon from at&t as an employee. In my market verizon sales reps are paid much better than cingular/at&t reps, and I am trying to get a interview with a verizon manager. Have any of you guys swapped from cingular to verizon and like the job better? What are the advantages of both carriers as jobs? Any info would be a lot of help. Thanks

Just got ours in, Honestly I dont think its as bad as everybody is saying, true the screen is a little smaller, but the resolution is the same and its still just clear, the phone looks a lot better to me, the speaker phone is nice and loud, earpiece sounds great. The only think that I think stinks about it is there is still not a memory card slot aand the camera was downgraded. Other then that I think the phone is pretty solid
