8300 and ringtones

i read through the forums and need help on adding new ringtones to an lg8300 fro free.
i found you can add by emailing an attachment or using bitpim.

is there any other way to add ringtones by sing a microsd card and plasing the mid or mp3 file in a certain folder?

Should i come to Verizon??

Hello everybody, I live in Florida and i am looking for a good solid cell phone provider. 1st thing i need and look for is good pda devices such as blackberry and treos. At the moment i am with At&t/Cingular in my first 30 days of service might cancel them. Does Verizon get the good phones like At&t does? or are they behind on good releases?

2nd thing is who could i rely on for good email/internet when i am in florida and when i travel?

3rd is Verizon solid on not dropping calls, or do they have problems also?

thanks in advance guys.

Help with Motorola Stereo BT Headphones

I just got my stereo headphones today and I am having a problem with them already (typical of motorola products lately) I have an LG 8300 (current s/w ver) and I easily paired the headset with the phone. While listening to music thru the headphones, my audio skips and this happens on every song. I have listened to the songs thru a regular wired headset and they play perfectly fine. I have not tried the headset for regular calls yet. I don't know if I have a bad headset or phone and wondered if anyone else experienced any problems with this.

Not a Shine, but a New Chocolate

VX8550 is not the Shine Slider, its the New Gen Chocolate

Phone Exchange Question (BanderSnatchMan)

Re: Sam a950/GIN app problem...

by BanderSnatchMan Today, 5:14 PM

"I just bought a Chocolate(mint) and I love it. Even though the phone I wanted was the vx8600. I bought the phone online, could I take it back to a store and switch it out for the vx8600 since the price has come down on it?"

Great question.

This would all depend on how long its been since the phone purchase.

Verizon Wireless has recently (within the last month ) changed to a 30 day no questions asked return policy on undamaged new purchases. Previously, the time frame would have been 15 days.

If you fall within this date range, you could very well qualify for an exchange to whatever else you wanted instead, and pay or be credited the differenc...

Mouth of the horse

Hi there.

You can call me "Bock". I'm an employee at a Verizon Wireless callcenter in the West half of the country.

I started out as basic customer service, but wound up with an extensive amount of extra training in general technical support and data.

Every working day of my life I take escalations and fix voice and data technical issues on all Verizon Wireless products, as well as do the standard billing/support stuff as well.

That being said, I find that there is a massive amount of misinformation out there about pretty much everything possible. I hear it every day, and unfortunately a great deal comes from our own internal staff.

I'd like to help stop this.

I tend to lurk this forum, but I'm goin...

VZW Data Options

This is an edited response that I gave in another thread. I see it as good general info, so I'm posting it here for reference.

Verizon Wireless has three PDA data options. These are the same for all PDAs. ( ie no difference if its a Blackberry domestically )

1. Pay as you go : ( about 66kb = 1.00 )
2. 24.99 / 10Mb
3. 44.99 / "Unlimited"

The Unlimited options includes "Wireless Sync" for free, which is VZW's version of Push email and contact/calendar/contacts storage setup through a VZW web portal. (wirelesssync.vzw.com)

To tether your PDA as a modem, there is a 15.00 monthly fee on top of the unlimited plan.

For Global data on the new 8830 Blackberry it costs more.

When you have "Unlimited" access on a PDA + the tetherin...
